Anyone out there who currently holds this position or has in the past? I am looking at potentially making a move from an industrial sales job to this position within Ecolab.

Can you shed some light on pay, type of work, typical week etc.?

Any information or opinions are always appreciated. Thanks!

i sure can.as a water care specilist you will be anyplace that treats and dumps water to a municapal or pedaling ur stuff to whoever has a boiler only using ecolab chemicals.you will test water-ph water nitrates water-softness -hardness and use the right chemicals that will correctly treat it to neutralize all,this includes going into the nastist ecolab backroom boiler rooms u can imagine,you will have to drag in 55 gal drums that weigh 450-almost 700+#in some cases u wont be able to use forklift in most cases becase of tight spaces,juice weighs10-14 pounds per gallon set up auto pumps and timers,ur responsible for correct set up to much castic or acid and your chemicals will eat the inside of boiler(saw 1st hand)if ur waste water ph is off when u dump to the sewer youll kill treatment plant emzimes+bugs=big fine to ecolab happens all the time(course a 15,000dollar fine 3 months later arbourtrated down to a couple grand)ecolab=big time eviromental polluters in the community your family+freinds live+drink water in,dont forget about the air-no scrubbers just blow it out the stack lands on employee cars etchs windsheilds with pock marks eats paint on cars looks like bubbles floating in the air but its not soap its CHEMICAL POLUTION.mix tanks gotta vent somewhere.if your lucky enough to have tank vent that actualy works and is not plugged-then we evacuate the building to escape injury.eoclab motto-run till failure no preventive maintaince that cost to much MONEY.this job is a none stop posting because of turnover.good luck T

as for pay=work hours look at other postings on indeed wont take long to get the big picture,go get 2 jobs more and likely work the same hours and at least be respected by your OTHER EMPLOYERS and human resourses at corparate(st.pual)is a joke wait till u have to deal with shelly burgess or april rodgers youll think your up for court marshall just to get your sick days straight with aDOCTORSrelease
