Do you work at Encore Payment Systems? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview?

Any advice for someone trying to get in?

Beware. This company is all false promises. They entice with you with 2-4 preset apts. per day. However, For the past two weeks i have recieved only 13 apts. Out of the 13, i only got to speak with the owner on Three of them. Eight of them, the place was locked up and nobody was even there. Most of the places they send you are run down industrial type strip malls. One guy told me that he hung up on the telemarketer, after telling them not to send somebody out. When you call your "team leader" and explain, they act like its your fault you didn't speak with the owner. Then they tell you "sorry thats they only apt. we had for you today, why don't you go do some cold calling?" They invest absolutely no money in there reps. You are a 1099 employee. They sent me three merchant applications for training. When i ask the "team leader" to send me more, i was told to print them out from there website. Initially i was excited about this job, however after a couple of weeks, i realized the Apts. they give you are bogus and all they want you to do is cold call. Plus the equipment you sell is a 48 month lease. The best piece of equipment is $89.95 per month. Doing the math that comes out to $4,317. When the lease is up the merchant has to pay an additional $400 if they want to keep it. The funny thing is, you can find a comparable machine online brand new for $600 to $800, all day long.

wow...I had the same experience. They send you places that no one wants to go to. When you finally get to an appointment and the merchant doesn't even want to talk to you then they want to speak to the merchant and when you call you are put on hold forever. When you talk to your team leader they yell at you like it's your fault that things didn't work out. It was the worst job I have ever had. I invested a lot of money to get started and didn't get any of it back..It's a waste of time.
