It's always hard to know what to expect when going in for that interview -- and preparation can make all the difference. What is the interview process like at Eos Airlines?

Any advice on striking the right note?

You start with a presentation by George and Hector about the company and its mission. You sit at a conference table woth the other applicants. there were 25 present the day I interviewed. Soon after you will have your face to face interview with either Hector, George,Linda, Carolyn or Elizabeth. all of whom are very lovely, I just loved Hector! He is the first male hired as a flight attendant by Pan Am...very nice man...

If you make it throught to the next round~ you will be asked to take a break in the cafe and rejoin the selected applicants back in the conference room after lunch.

Round two consists of introducing each other to the group and then breaking up into groups, Groups chosen by Eos, to do the survival excerise, the group with the most correct answers wins a tee shirt!

Then it is time for the second face to face interview! good luck!
After that you will be asked to take an intelligence & personaility test, very over the top but if you make it through...you must be the best of the best! good luck to all of you, they will let you know their decision within a week!

They sent me an email yesterday declining :( It was a shock since everthing seemed to go so well and I had made it to the final phase? even won a tee shirt...LOL

Anyway, it was a good learning experience, I only wish that they would let you know why they declined so that you can learn what went wrong, constructive critism is always good!

Best of luck to you!

The tee shirt is nice and as far as re-applying? not too sure, I guess if I had what they were looking for they would have hired me!Although...
I would like to be considered for future employment and yes, the benifits are super but what the company stands for is even better!

I thought Linda said yes, but in the packet of info there's nothing stating that. You know the email info you get with the survival stuff.

I live in Rhode Island so I drove to the interview, you may need to Call Linda to find out? The other applicants whom I make friends with all worked for another airlines so they used their travel benefits to fly to NY...

All very good information regarding the process. Thank you all. I had my phone interview with George earlier this week and was invited to the Group Interview in Rochester on Dec 19. I will be making my way from Arizona to a much colder climate from what I have been reading about recent weather reports.

Trim, I would double ck on the space available you definitely don't want to miss out on your interview...and David do you know of anyone else whom is going on the 19th besides us?..It looks like snow the day before sooo cancellations may be happening.

Yes, of course that would not be good. That's why I'm flying in the day before. I used to commute for my last airline job and I know how that can be. My girlfriend is 22 years Delta so, she's pretty senior on the stand by list. That helps too. :) Her husband is 767 captain 27 years Delta so I'm not sure who's pass I'll be using. LOL
Otherwise, my last option is fly myself (I'm a pilot as well). I flew myself to the Compass interview up in MSP. That was really cool landing my saratoga 310hp where NWA flies into!! LOL

No, not that I am not aware of, however, I was told that the Dec 19 interview will have 20 attendees. I am thinking about coming in two days prior to avoid the possibility of flight cancellations the day before.

David, I was told to notify you that you need to be really dressed up for the occasion.

Let your male friends know that there were 8 men at the interview and only 1 made it to the final selection, he was very handsome, a size 40 suit...intelligent and extremely well groomed! Their FA are above average in looks...

Hello Gwash,
Yes, Purchase NY...You? I'm glad you like reading my post.LOL. I don't know if that's good or bad :) I'm a little comical at times, but mostly keeping it real. As you know, these forums are VERY helpful for everyone to get a feel for what they are about to enter as a career. I have a passion for flying in general. If you've read all my post I'm a pilot building time. I'm in no rush, for expense reasons of course. It would be a pleasure to meet you as well. I'll be the one in the black skirt with blue top LOL j/k...I have some friends that live in Manhattan, so I'm coming down the day before to visit with them and share dinner before heading to my hotel to toss and turn all night long over the interview. :)

Hey future pilot,
I am going to be in the area the day b4 as well. I am originally from NYC and have family still close by right across the GW bridge. Otherwise I would be driving 2+ hrs the day of from Southern NJ. My nerves could not handle it. I am so glad I joined this website. I just stumbled across it recently in my quest for a new challenge within the biz. Yeah!! I will be familiar with someone b4 I get there. It is so much easier to go through this industry and its processes with someone(s) else. The more the merrier :)

It is very nice to go through the process with someone. Even when training is over those are some of the closest people you will stay in contact with.

This is your competition? watch out for danger!!! found it on the web!!!

i'm looking for pros & cons..i have an interview with eos airlines on 12/17 for a flight attendant position & i'm having a really hard time deciding if this is the right thing for me to do

for the last 4 years i worked as an underwriter at a mortgage bank & got laid off a few months ago because that industry is a mess right now..getting laid off was probably the best thing that ever happened to me because i was NOT happy but was too scared to leave & make the change...it's tough to leave when you're comfortable

sooo..i'm looking for a change..i'm single, 28, not married, no kids...why the f*** not right? i'd like to do some traveling & get some free flights while i'm it!!

thoughts?that's one of the things that's holding me back..thinking about any events i'd have to miss out on (including holidays) but eos airlines flies only to london right now (soon paris) so when i think of all the parties i can hit up in london it makes me it's not so bad..

as for drug testing...i think it will be good for me...i smoke pot daily & really can't do this forever..i NEED something to make me stop because if there isn't i may decide when it's too late...i have a hard time saying no...

need to do some soul searching this week and ask myself am i ready to STOP? i guess i'll never be ready...just gotta jump into it! pills can be out of our system in 3 days so i can work that around my flights...it will definitely reduce my intake which is a good thing...

if taking any type of drug is your thing then being in aviation is not for you. good luck with stopping this bad habit. as far as competition most people i know in the industry do not feel this way. we all have something to offer and try to help each other whenever we can. other f/a are your sisters and brothers we are family in this industry.

Hi...would you know what is the age range of flight attendants in EOS? I read somewhere that they seem to prefer people with experience at high-end hotels over ex-flight attendants with a lot of years of experience, dont know if its true ( i hope not!!! :)... would appreciate any thoughts on this...:)

Gwash, forgive me if I read your posting incorrectly, but wanted to assist if I could. I, and I believe Pinkflight as well, are attending the December 19 interview in Rochester- I understand you are going to an interview 2 days prior in Purchase NY on Dec 17. I looked up the Dinosaur restaurant, and the address is listed as 99 Court Street. I am posting this because I noticed your statement that "I am attending the 12/17 EOS interview as well.." and thought you may have confused our interview date with the one you are attending in Purchase. All the very best with your interview.

Crystal,
From my understanding, they are looking for a mix. They choose what they believe to be the best candidates from both those from Hospitality/Customer Service backgrounds and from those who have Flight Attendant Experience.

Hi. I'm new to this posting forum but I was pleasantly surprised to see feedback on Eos. I have my interview on the 18th. I was a F/A with United for 16 years and resigned in 2006. I would love to get some feedback. I interviewed with Linda over the phone. I asked about commuting etc., I live in
Woodstock, Il so I will commute from Ohare. I did ask and Linda said we have jumpseat privileges on Jet Blue. Keep in mind depending upon our jumpseat qualifications we may also be able to commute on fed ex etc., I'm also found out training is 7 weeks. Does anyone know if EOS supplies room and board during training?

Hi. I would love to find out if they gave you any information regarding room & board during training. Such as do we pay for expenses out of pocket? Do we receive pay while training etc.,
I was a F/A with United for 16 years and I know we weren't paid but they put us up in the training center and had a cafeteria for us. I'm sorry to hear you were not extended an offer. I do appreciate all the information that you have shared. I will find out what the time frame is to reapply and share that when I get back from Purchase! I know a few friends of mine back at United who got hired after a second interview after one year.
