pinkflight in Houston, Texas said: The interview went like this>> Intro from George. powerpoint presentation of the company. Questions from people about the company. Introduce yourself and why you think you will be an asset to the company. Then your given a 15 minute break. They return with a list of 12 (40people were there not 20) people whom made it to round 2...(posted on the wall)The rest can go home and they will notify you if they will invite you for a second interview. There is no FTF unless you make it to the second round.

Hi Pinkflight,
Had 12/17 interview. Drive from hell from south jersey to Purchase. Presentation by Hector. Q/A for 15 minutes or so. FTF interviews gave my paperwork and then sent home. I don't know if anyone was asked to stay for 2nd interviews or not. No list posted. Was told I would hear via email. Not sure how I did. You can never tell with these interviews. Focusing other opportunities work best for me.

Good Luck with wherever life takes you!!

I'm so sorry about the outcome with EOS. It makes me a kind of glad that I cancelled mine, as I'm sure that I would not have made it if you didn't. Please don't stop trying. If flying is what you really want, you WILL get hired. I read a post from someone on the other forum that said that he was chosen the first time that he interviewed with a certain airline, had to decline, applied again at a later date, and was not chosen that time. It is SO subjective, this flight attendant hiring business. But we KNOW what kind of person you are. You hold your head up, girl. We still love ya!

Great advice!

Man looks like you had it rough too...sorry to hear about your interview as well>> There were alot of great people in our group that should of at least made it to the second round of interviews that were not chosen and that alone was confusing. ahhhhh I;m sooo confused:))

You all make me SO glad that I didn't go up there. Gwash, I think we're around the same age, so I hope that one of us "mature" types gets hired. It will restore my faith in the hiring process.

Thank you for asking.. Yes I made it to the second round - and yesterday I was called by EOS to offer me the job.

I am happy I got accepted - but there were several people, that have become quite dear to me, that I really felt should've have been in the same position..

Still - as the recruiters said, its not over just because you didn't make it to round two on the day - they were short staffed and couldn't possibly have processed the whole group that day..

So I have hopes yet.

me in Houston, Texas said: This is your competition? watch out for danger!!! found it on the web!!!

i'm looking for pros & cons..i have an interview with eos airlines on 12/17 for a flight attendant position & i'm having a really hard time deciding if this is the right thing for me to do

for the last 4 years i worked as an underwriter at a mortgage bank & got laid off a few months ago because that industry is a mess right now..getting laid off was probably the best thing that ever happened to me because i was NOT happy but was too scared to leave & make the change...it's tough to leave when you're comfortable

sooo..i'm looking for a change..i'm single, 28, not married, no kids...why the f*** not right? i'd like to do some traveling & get some free flights while i'm it!!

thoughts?that's one of the things that's holding me back..thinking about any events i'd have to miss out on (including holidays) but eos airlines flies only to london right now (soon paris) so when i think of all the parties i can hit up in london it makes me it's not so bad..

as for drug testing...i think it will be good for me...i smoke pot daily & really can't do this forever..i NEED something to make me stop because if there isn't i may decide when it's too late...i have a hard time saying no...

need to do some soul searching this week and ask myself am i ready to STOP? i guess i'll never be ready...just gotta jump into it! pills can be out of our system in 3 days so i can work that around my flights...it will definitely reduce my intake which is a good thing...

This is way too funny! I don't believe one bit of this post. No one in their right mind would write something so ridiculous...hahaha

So, now, what are you going to do? You have FTFs pending?
Me, I'm just hanging around...like a lost puppy.... :-(
Don't know which direction I should take, if any. Oh, I'm sure I'll get out of my funk.

How is the F/A search going? I am still waiting for replies or offers. Thank goodness I am not new to the recruitment process, otherwise, I would have chewed fingernails by now or drove everyone around me crazy. I am currently a f/a on leave so I am not so anxious as others that I see posting on this forum. It can get overwhelming at times the uncertainty of what they are looking for and leaving interviews not knowing why you werent chosen. It really helps to have unfaltering self confidence. Hope you have a wonderful holiday season and if you have not received any news yet that you will very soon.

Natasha, This is the one. Not as much traffic on here, but there have been a few of us who considered EOS after Delta began to look "iffy". Since I'm in limbo with Delta (no training offer during FTF, but no rejection email either). I scheduled a FTF with EOS rather impulsively, but cancelled it later after I'd thought about it. My plan is to do nothing until '08, and then possibly reapply for AirTran when I'm eligible in February; and also wait to see if Delta calls. If none of those things, I'm seriously thinking about early retirement. I really am not ready to return to my old career (counseling - I'm burned out after 15 years). Maybe I'll join my neighborhood book club. Oh Lord this sounds pitiful. :(

EOS sounds awfully nice except I don't have a BA. I also like the Lavion airline, though they don't give much info on the hiring specs. Like you, I'm not sure I want to go back to my old profession (court reporting) I'm burnt out. I'm really hungry for a FA position now that I got "the bug." Bummer, huh?

For those of you who attended an Eos interview, were you not as surprised as I at the unprofessionalism exhibited? For example, "We do not treat our guests as potential terrorists like all the other airlines," ... or how about how they relentlessly put down regular carries as basically air buses while they cater to the upper echelon of society? Or the most demeaning, how they give you a script to follow when speaking to a guest, no genuine conversation, a script!!

Am I the only one put out by this arrogant display? I was asked to stay for the 2nd part but knew I was not going to accept if offered. I was offered and politely explained why I could not be a Stepford Flight Attendant.

With what has transpired in commercial aviation in the past few years, not to mention the numerous hijackings prior to 9/11, we in the aviation industry must be vigilant in scrutinizing while at the same time being most gracious and welcoming but we should NEVER turn a blind eye because someone is capable of paying a premium fare.

Please understand, this is only my opinion of the interview experience, many see it in a completely different light, find out for yourself.

Thank you for sharing. Yours is the first post I've seen about the actual hiring procedure. Wow, they have a different approach, it seems. You are right, in the fact that vigilance coupled with warm hospitality are key approaches in handling passengers.

I work for a private company at this time. Possibly returning in the new year. But, in the meantime was just applying to see what other opportunities are out there. I am really interested in doing some overseas flying. When I was first hired their was a overseas program going forward but it just disappeared due to funding or something. I use to work for a charter airline and I first started on a plane with 5 crew members. Now I am working on a plane with just 3. I prefer to work with other f/a in the cabin not just pilots and me. I must admit though I have had some great experiences that I would not have had the opportunity to do in a larger airline. But, there are always + and -.

Just a short note re: L'AVION. I communicated by e-mail with a representative in Paris regarding their application procedures. She first referred me to their web-site to fill out a proprietary employment form (yes proprietary is spelled correctly- "ADVICE, too lol") which did not exist. I followed up with her and she sent me the 'application for employment' as an attachment which is all in FRENCH. I speak and read enough French to be able to make it out, however, this may give you an indication of how that works initially.
The Airline itself sounds like a good one from the research I did.

I must have totally missed the whole "script" explanation. I must admit I went away from this interview having no idea what to expect. I have always been a safety professional first and foremost. After 9/11 the whole job description changed for Flight Attendants. I left the airline industry because I lost the passion I use to have for flying. After the BK at United the supervisors became unbearable.

I understand from a few in my interview group they have already been extended offers and I have not. I won't be completely devastated but I really miss the flying. Does anyone have any pointers on how to get on with corporate companies? I live outside Chicago, IL .

I totally agree with you on the unprofessionalism of this company. Some of us paid from 500.00 to 1000.00 to go and attend the interview only to listen to them about their company. We were not even given the chance to interview on a FTF. You would assume that for those of us whom spend that kind of money out of our own pocket that they would at least given us a chance to interview on a FTF.
we were serious about EOS and not there to joke. apparently the whole EOS THING IS A JOKE.

Well I just checked my mail ..maybe its coming tomorrow. :)
My thought is... if I was being extended an offer I would have received a call by now. I was an excellent F/A at UAL for 16 years and I'm taking the position of... its EOS' loss not mine.

I did decline UAL the first time I was offered a position so I may attempt to interview again if I'm not offered a position this go around.

Good Luck to all who have up coming interviews. Happy New year!

Pink & Gwash - Why don't you call and ask them about reapplication time if you're still interested. And if I DO go to mine in CLT on the 31st, I'll be sure to ask for you if you're still wondering. That is, IF I go....
I really don't think I have a chance if you two didn't get an offer. I've never flown before - only went through 2 weeks of training before an OJI took me out. One of the ladies on the other forum has me thinking about going to the Omni open house here in Atlanta, and then, of course, there's that "other" airline whose forum we all met on.....

Still Interested!! you bet!! it is the only airline that I really truly wished would of hired me...all the others are second best to me...I placed on hold 5 other interviews so that I can go to EOS and to feel like I was completely ignored just killed me =((:: I really hoped for me to start with them before my birthday...but sigh!!

I am going to contact Eos and inquire. I still have George's email. I had a friend who flew for Omni. I met her while interviewing for them. We both were selected but I took another job. RJ of course you should still interview with EOS. Don't get discouraged because of what we have gone through. If you do not have to incur to much personal expense. Go for it!!! Feel free to contact me via email to continue our communication outside of this forum. HAPPY NEW YEAR! gwashing552@aol.com
