These guys hire you, and THEN do a background check.
After thirty something years of believing I had earned my 4 year degree, the background check could not verify... the university I attended had lost credits...transcripts are incomplete and I have no recourse as it was a LOOOONG time ago. I had already accepted firm's offer, resigned, hired and trained my replacement.

Now, have to go back to school and re earn the degree as an unemployed person.

Oh heck to the no! I worked so hard to get my Acctg B.A., I could almost cry for you! I cannot accept that you have to go back to school. I agree with Diana: locate your diploma. This is not your fault...

I just got a letter and there is no diploma to be found... start courses next week... wish me luck. Thanks for the kind remarks... when I get this next degree it is going to be sealed in acrylic or perspex!

Hi, I was recently offered an internship with E&Y - my credit is fair, but I did default on an undergrad school loan several years ago (I paid it off, but it still appears on my credit report). Will this prevent me from working at E&Y?
