Super Bulk is frito's new answer to making more money.. paying you less and driving volume... it consists of 3-5 stores... and no some times it takes to truck loads to do your day... each system is different but ours in columbus... is ... i have a 5 store super bulk route i make 2FRITO-LAYomission with a 250 base.. my merchandiser does 3 stores and i do 2... but even though.. you are not in all of your stores every day.... you are still responsible for them........and its your job to do the ordering or convincing the merchandiser to write orders and trusting there judgment.... and the pay is around 55 ... but heres the great part... i am stepping down from my 5 store super bulk route because i avg. 27000 a week... so i make slitley more than a extra.. so today i stepped down and gave them back there route... super bulk .. super blows... good luck they should have left well enough alone.

How is your schedule? Do you get weekends off? I used to work there and i just couldnt stand it. I understand that your cant find another 55k job but i am not sure Frito is worth all the bs you have to put up with. And most places you cant say i work 40 hrs and that it or they will get rid of you.

I know most stay because of the money but is it really worth it? I would rather have less and enjoy life alittle more than what they want. And you know they dont let most get away with i only work 40hrs. That dont happen.

I feel for all you guys and gals...I'm no longer with that Chip company. Every time my RSR's started making some real green, along comes the bean counters for re-engineering. The company spews alot of nonsense about work life balance and how much they care for you. In reality...The DSL position is the worst responsiblity to have because it all falls on them when plan is not hit, routes are down, T-Rex is not compliant, CMA's are not signed, DOT Binders are not compliant and they never remove anything off their plates. I could go on...but from what I've read already you all are very well eductated with the process. Peace.

I feel for you guys and ladies who work for a company who spews the nonsense regarding work/life balance and who take money through re-engineering every time you start to make a decent wage. Feel for the DSL as well who is responsible for every metrix know to Frito and nothing is ever removed from their plates. But know this...there is life and normalcy after frito lay. Imagine working just 40 hours a week and having a true work/life balance when you can spend time with your children and loved ones. God Bless those who stay......

Gone you are so right. They are not an employee friendly company to work for. Imagine is all those Frito employees can do because they will never have anything but misery. I dont/wouldnt mind working over 40 m-f as long as could have my weekends for myself and my family. I was talking to one DSl one time recently and he said they dont even really preach w/l balance now they are on the quality of time spent routine now ( how funny is that).

Romo...just spent some quality time with my Frito friends who still struggle with the organization. We were at a non sanctioned Frito Lay going away gathering for our friend who was just let go after 26 plus years. Frito Lay is currently releasing (in my opinion) people who are making substantial dollars and backfilling those positions with non-qualified persons at a lower rate of pay...thus making the lives of the front line RSR's more challenging. Those RSR's work hard and deserve better. Hearing anything similar?

I have a friend who works there and he was saying something similar. They are trying to get rid of the money makers for cheaper labor. He also said they would like to replace as many as they can because they will not be obligated to provide pension benefits to anyone hired now. Do you think this is true?

I'm one of those people who fell into the "pension/benefit" catagory. I agree with your friends comment. It's been suggested and stated that ZSL's are charged with having to eliminate one DSL and RSR per zone every year moving forward. I cannot confirm this behavior, however I find it interesting the number of people who were just let go across the country. Who they were and their tenure with the company...thoughts?

I agree with everything that you, your friends, and my friends are saying. Big business is always looking to cut costs so dividens go up for the stockholders. Its a shame that this country has become the greediest nation on earth. More money, more money, more money is all the rich care about. Instead of just enjoying having freedoms that most will never have they always want more. What did Biggie say: more money more problems. I just wish they would get it and let everyone have a decent amount.

Why do you stay if they jerk you around so much. You prob have sun and wed off and that is really not even true. If you work Sat you get home in the afternoon and since your sleeping pattern is set up you are in bed early. Then Sun comes and you have to go to bed early to be up for Mon. Get a life by finding a new job. I saw one of your posts where u went on to become and RSA and gave up a route cuz you would make more money-- why did you stay? Maybe the pension helps. But they will off you unless you are union and have a chance. Good luck!!!
