What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at Farmers Insurance?

What do you like best about working at Farmers Insurance? Are there any great perks or special treats for employees?

There is a starting salary of $30,000/ yr., then you will need to get a license, which costed me $400 for the classes and the tests. You do get commissions on new clients and renewals right when you sign the contract and get your license. Other things you will need is a scanner/fax/copier and a laptop or desktop. I will start working from home since they have a system that is very adequate with working with clients from home or at their home. They have non-stop training and you can work with the District Managers as much as you need so you can get comfortable on your own. I already gained clients before my license and certification so all I did was call those people and set something up after my training was complete and I had all the necessary materials to sell the product. Also, to start out and gain clients, they allowed you to set up better premiums for the new clients so you're more likely to get renewals and people to buy the product. Out of all the opportunities to be an agent in my area, Farmer's had the best start up program and support so you can succeed.
