What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at Fastenal?

10-12/hr for Inside PT. 30,000/ yr + commission for outside sales. Statring managers make 35/40/yr + commission.

The wages quoted by Matt are much higher than can be expected, the outside sales guy in our store didn't even make 26K after commission, so 30K+commission is without question high. No managers I know of start at 40K+commission either, 30K is a little more realistic but it all depends on location and business potential. This being said Fastenal is a great company with tons of advancement potential if you work hard.

I can't complain too much about the benefits b/c they are pretty good. The compensation is not bad if you are a manager or above, or have not been hit with the facts of life yet. Don't plan on supporting a family with a decent lifestyle if you are not a manager. That is why Fastenal has made a living milking all they can from young college kids who are looking for something. The pay for someone that age is great, but once you get in the real world, it becomes very clear that it is not enough to survive.
