Fluor Job Status

I applied for a job at the beginning of October with Fluor. My status was changed to "under consideration" a day after. Recently, the job was closed, but my status is still under consideration. Would this just mean they have stopped receiving applications and are still those who applied or what? Also, typically, how long does this process normally take, how soon does one hear about an interview after applying?

Any feedback is appreciated.

My opinion - No Facts Involded!!!

When Fluor took over KBR back in June 2010, they had approximately 2,000 plus prospective employee's standing by to be picked up for employment, in case there were not enough employee's from KBR willing to trasfer over when Fluor took over the northern region of Afghsnistan. Now that it has been about 1.6 years since Fluor had the contract, they have been flooded with applicants, so on that note, Fluor is not in a big hurry to hire from outside the ranks, because they are already top heavy...seek other companies and dwell on Fluor, you may be waiting forever!!!
