Has anyone that has been hired by Fluor gotten any information on Deployments status or know when they are getting deployed. I've been getting the run around from my recruiter and just being told that in country management is holding everything up. Any information would be helpful.

according to my contacts working in afghanistan, Fluor is actually laying people off, so dont hold your breath on getting deployed over there. it took me overa year from first applying to getting a call to greenville. good company though, treat you well, good luck

also dont believe what you here is going on over in afghan country, rumors abound greatly. if you havent been to afghanistan before, you better think twice, dont think about the money, the conditions are very harsh, over crowded, and alot of bad stuff going on there with the insurgents. it is a long way from home, to get there and realize it is not for you. fluor itself is good though,
