ITT is the one's who pay 4200 per RR. Thats because they dont pay you any hourly pay while youre on RR. Fluor pays you 3600 but also pays you 8 hours a day at 80% uplift for 9 days. Also, with Fluor you can go on your first RR after 45 days, but you only get paid for 4 or 5 days of the 9 because you only earned half of the days paid. Make sense ? Basically, for every month you work, you get a certain amount of hours earned paid time off (RR) . And for ITT, you get the 4200 whether you go on rr or not. With Fluor, you HAVE to take the RR to get the 3600. If you do not go on RR with Fluor, you do not get the 3600. |

I confirmed with hubby and it is 3600.00 for RR pay with Fluor. And 45 days for first RR is for those in the transition- u know who were coming up on one with KBR but missed out--you knwo where just shy of leaving for a RR with KBR. Direct hires its, 91 days overseas before you can take your first RR. In fact they--fluor-- have the days down to a science as far as the 'soonest' when you can take each RR in your yr. Yes, you can delay it--take em later if you like. But as Kevndev mentioned you do have to take your RR--leave country- to get your RR pay with Fluor. Best of luck everyone. |

Here's a little update on my status. I'm suppose to be going to greenville on the 10th of April now. I'm starting to get kinda worried because the date is getting pushed back. The bad thing about this process is after you get hired and do MDC, you don't hear from them in weeks. |

OK so how do you explain, the people that was recruited from other country like the Balkan, practically, that wasnt the case for the balkans, people who had no experience at all was hired. And they were shipped immediately to Afghan, the Americans had to go through a lot of waiting. Some of the positions were given like candies, ask any balkan person who is hired now and ask if they had to wait for their sf85 and fingerprinting,i didnt think they had to wait like any applicants here. Its all double standard but hey you all play a in it. |

Hey Koko, So glad Tony and a friend we all know from the KBR forum built this site. I love the KBR forum and think this forum will be really helpful to new hires for Flour. I dont see too many spouses on this forum. I guess because its new, it will take some time to grow. Tony has been South Carolina now since Feb 13. and is still waiting to be sent to Afg. He is really enjoying the processing and meeting all kinds of people. I wish he could be home, but I think he is really going to adapt to the big change. |

If you are in Afghanistan already--they are in the mist of the transitioning KBR personal and appear to be taking on current KBR employees over there–those that want to come on board–and processing them over there–in afghanistan. And as others here mentioned they are taking people stateside on board too but its taking time for them to get em in and out of Greenville. Best of Luck. |

It seems few people ever get to the stage of "under review" for more then the few seconds it takes them to change the status to "no longer under consideration". Hey there Dennis. I have a situation to where I have four 'under review' status which one been there since 20 Jan. I actually have and 'Under Consideration' there too, since yesterday. Not sure how long they stay in that status until it changes. Lance says they are ready to call but I hear different stories saying the opposite as well. I do feel better what Proleter said though-my resume has been actually touched, seen or smelled by a recruiter. Should I rename my resume scratch and sniff ? j/k |

In Greenville, there will be more Paperwork and classes, and training on their laptops--thier software. How long it takea for the background and the public trust depends on how busy they are. I beleive currently there is a back-log so that's causing hold ups. Have to get the all clear to get your CAC so you can travel. My husband did this over 6 mths ago so some things may have changed--they emailed all paperwork to him. But he did not do fingerprints at "home", he did it there, so seems as if now some "stuff" is coming in the mail--or email--but you need to mail/ fax/ and or scan it back. Best of luck. |

A similar concern about background checks on the KBR forum. I'd like to know how different or if same type of background checks for certian or all positions at Fluor. From what I read from other posts at the KBR forum, only mail services and security get a background and credit check and must not be in bad debt. Is this the same with Fluor? |

One thing I might mention is that Fluor or for that matter any other overseas contracting company does not do the actually background checks, or the SP85F–they simply see that these things are completed, corrections made as needed and they are submitted to the proper authorities. So delays are strictly speaking not their responsibility. They assist in getting the info in but like you, they have to wait for their return and or the process of to be completed. Best of luck. |

I have worked in an oil and gas company for over 20+ years. Within the last year are so I worked for an oil and gas company as a lead. I had a new manager who just came aboard no nothing about my work since she just came to the comapany in Feb. 2009. I was fired in Aug 2009, because she says I didn't meet her expectations. My question is on my application should I tell Fluor I was fired and the reason for or should I just tell them I was laid off. It seems as though when a company sees that you were fired they look at you in a different aspect. Any suggestons when you're fired what to tell Fluor. |

And they can, will and do check with former employers. There are however ways– better words of getting you point across than say “ fired”. You may want to try something to the effect of ‘dismissed or terminated, with an explanation to the effect of; ‘Company downsized due to management changes.’ You are being honest in that a new manager came in and decided you did meet with their expectations. Best of luck. |

Hi guys this is my first post in the Fluor. When I go to apply for jobs on the Fluor Site all the jobs say On-site interviewing for this position will take place in the Balkan region. Candidates must be available to interview at the aforementioned location, and must posses the ability to read, write and speak fluent English to be considered. Are all of the interviews in the Balkans or am I am I not on the wrong search page on the fluor site? |

You need to go to fluor.com and click on careers tab then on logcap careers and search all jobs. If someone calls you saying they are a Fluor recruiter and that you need to send them money for processing it's a scam, Fluor does not charge. |
