Interviewed with them a while back (WMC Mortgage). They definitely exhibited a shocking lack of preparation and professionalism. Head of Marketing (one of the interviewers) was all style and no substance...except for the 2 F-bombs and one "s***" she dropped during the interview! This was the very first time I've heard an interviewer curse...and I wasn't expecting it from GE Money. There were too many other bizarre moments to metnion. This company is a classic case of inept staffing brought on by gargantuan size. Unless you love sick office politics...stay away. |

I worked there and was let-go today. Am I bitter? Absolutely not! The company is very unorganized and heavily overstaffed with people I have to wonder if they have any mortgage experience at all. It is honestly a relief to finally be let-go. I only stayed on for the money (almost imprisoned because of it!) and not a day went by that I actually looked forward to going in to work! It is a top-heavy company (though there are no managers ever available when you need them) that invests way too much money in software that no one understands how to use and useless training courses led by people not even familiar with what a mortgage is. The processes are complicated - almost like instead of going in a straight line, they zig-zag all over the place, all the way to the end, paying useless people in between with huge amounts of money! I can't see how they will pull through in the long run, I honestly can't. |
