Engineering development program - how good is it?

Hi
I have got an interview with GE on thursday for a european engineering development programme. I am recent graduate with mechanical degree from UK. reading the posts on this has really put me off working for GE.

Can any one give me any insight into EDPs. is it the same there interms of -your life is GE and nothing else matters. plus this is a leadership role and not so much technical. so if i decide to leave after two year EDP i dont know what job prospects I am going have.??
