I worked for GE Infrastructure/Energy for 7 years. I left as a "T" - Top Talent. You are eligible for a raise every 18 months. The average raise is 4%.
Their Six Sigma culture means that only people who go through the Black Belt program can become managers or supervisors. This has lead to an upper management structure who knows very little about the business they are running and everything about Six Sigma.
If you want to work for a bunch of type "A" personality boobs who don't know what they are doing - be my guest.
I would recommend working for them just long enough to soak up as much product technical training as you can, then go to work for a customer.
