What do the different "HR status" statements on the "Job Submission Status" webpage mean? I've seen them some nothing at all, "resume submitted", "no longer considered for this position", etc... Thank you! |

I am an ex-employee of GE, was laid off in 2009. When you submit the resume into the system, it validates that it went in. Then GE has screeners who go through the resumes. They are still considering you until 1) you hear back via email or, 2) the status is changed. Sometimes you hear back but the message you got is the first one that is auto generated. |

After I visited their booth, I received a call from the recruiter THAT night and met him for drinks at the local Marriott hotel bar. But.. the one thing I didn't ask, was what comes next. Would you happen to have advice on how long I should wait without contact before I should assume I'm not a candidate anymore? I *did* call him the day after and leave a voice mail, thanking him for the drinks and the hospitality. Any help would be great. Thanks! |

Hi, Please send a note to gerecruiting@corporate.ge.com with the name of the recruiter and we can track him down. Sincerely, Mike Tresca
