After I applied for a GEICO position online, I received two automated e-mail responses. It doesn’t seem that GEICO offers appointment times for their testing and brief interview. Another insurance company that I applied to directed applicants to the online appointment setter. Appointment times filled up very quickly. I will be driving in from out-of-town and I will need to take a whole day off from my current job. I don’t have a problem with arriving before 7:45 am. I will have a problem if I drive all the way in and get turned away because the slots are filled. Is the set-up such that anyone who shows up before 7:45 will at least get to test same-day? Do they ever run out of “spaces”? Here’s the e-mail: ......During testing, two tests are administered: Personality Preferences Inventory and Multitasking. Please be advised that testing lasts approximately 2 – 3 ½ hours. Following testing, you will meet with a member of the Hiring Team who will advise you of your testing results and conduct a brief interview, if applicable. As such, you should plan on spending at least 4 hours in our office during your initial visit. .....after the initial interview, candidates who are deemed a close match for our positions will participate in additional steps in the selection process that may take up to an additional 5 hours to complete. Our goal is to move all qualified applicants through the selection process as quickly and efficiently as possible. Due to the high volume of applicants that participate in the selection process, we are not always able to put all applicants through the remaining steps of the selection process in the same day. You will have a better chance of participating in the entire selection process in the same day if you attend one of the 7:45 am sessions. MONDAYS: 7:45AM 1:30PM
