I applied for a Geico position and was emailed a few days later that they went with other candidates. I was really upset about this. There is a career fair coming up at a college that is only 25 miles away from me. Can I go and drop my resume off in person at the career fair? I would like to meet the recruiters and maybe have a chance to demonstrate my interaction and communication skills in person. Would they just tell me to apply online? This is a general career fair. It would probably be a booth with information. I don't know if they would even accept resumes there. The website said I have to wait 6 months before reapplying. If I reapply again before then, what happens? I am determined to join Geico :)

Hopefully the "Career Fairs" you have out there are different than the ones out here - out here 98% of the companies represented just give out website info to apply on line - some will take resumes. If Geico told you to wait for 6 months, ignoring that isn't going to help, they'll have your ID/SSN tagged already.
