What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at Genworth Financial?

Genworth is a terrible place to work. The company reqards poor performers because they are politically popular, and does everything they can to muzzle groups who speak up when only trying to do the right thing for the company. The company is dishonest in its pay practices, and will not pay you a good market based salary, they will always aim to pay less than the median salary for the market and construe jobs widley so they can have some basis to say you shoudl make less.

Yearly raises are nothing 2% if you et anything. Bonuses are small even when performance of the company and employee are great. HR has the last say on all pay, people have made deals with their managers only to have HR say that can't have that deal. HR's function is simply to hold down salaries.

Turnover is very high, most good employees leave within 3 years and this creates chaos in most of the businesses. You never know who to call because the person who was their today is gone tomorrow.

My advice, find a different company to work for and don't believe anything that a Genworth recruiter tells you.

HR runs the show and has no idea what they are doing. SrVP <Edited by Host: Name Removed> has a number of credibility issues and has the CEOs ear. This company will never survive unless the CEO gets rid of the leadership deadwood....peroid
