If someone can help plz contact me immediatly. I am appealing to Superior Court because DOL denied my unemploymemt to re-instated.
My benefits was allowed in Oct 12, 2008. Then I received check until Jan 7. My employer appealed after 15 days and then denied my unemploymemt due to fact they said it was fault that I was let go. My separation notice said I was let go because of Falsafication of Timeclock. But now their saying it was my attendance and failure to follow orders. I can't afford a lawyer and no one will help me. I've prepared a case but I don't think its strong enough.

I am also appealing my case in suerior court this moneth. I called legal aid, set up an appointment and she typed up a full petition that I had to file at the courthouse. Give Legal aid in your community a call and see if they can help you. Let's pray for each other that the powers that be have enough sense to know that more than ever before companies will lie to save a buck and could care less if entire families are on the street. Good Luck!!

The hearing officers at Georgia Department of Labor aren't too bright.

Hello
I believe your employer has to give you a verbal warming or maybe two and then a written warning before they can terminate you as an employee. Was that the case? Tell unempoyment if it was not the case. I live in Ohio but the rules for unemployment should be the same throughout the country.

Struggling in Stockbridge, Georgia

I was recently fired by a temp service I had been working for. I overslept one morning and the recruiter's call is what woke me up. He told me that i was terminated for a no call/ no show. I told him I could be there in 15-20 mins but he said dont bother. I was denied my unemployment and I am appealing it, because I was never written up or anything. My hearing date comes up and Im waiting on the call and someone calls an hour later to tell me they have to reschedule my hearing because the officer is not there. Its been 10 weeks since I signed up for unemployment. Is there not a time limit to this madness?
