Health insurance is mediocre. Among those employees with very serious illnesses, there have been some that could not get insurance coverage for the specific medications that their doctor wanted them to have.
Emphasis is placed on preventative care (which is a good thing). (It's cheap to make a routine visit to your family doctor.)
However, management's view appears to be that if you acquired a serious illness, it was probably your own fault. (For instance, you didn't exercise enough to avoid your cancer.) Thus, they aren't very sympathetic to what won't get covered by health insurance.
401k matching is a mere 25 cents on the dollar (up to the first 6% contributed by employee). However, the pension plan is attractive.
