What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at Goodwill Industries?

What do you like best about working at Goodwill Industries? Are there any great perks or special treats for employees?

Salary depends on your position. Minimum wage on up to. Bonuses?? I wouldn't have a clue No raise for me. I was told my employee score not good enough (in my bosses eyes)for one. Benefits; if your not full time no insurance if you are I think you get insurance after 90 days. Not a lot of travel.

What do I like best?? I used to like working with the clients. I felt like I was making a difference in their lives, but how can you make a positive difference in someone elses life when you feel (less than) in your own job. It's hard to motivate another person when you feel put down and like your not providing anything of worth to your job.
We usually get something at Christmas, other than that there are no special treats for employees.

My experience is that Goodwill is NOT a good company to work for. Don't let the name fool you. Perhaps various organizations are better than others, but I'm right at corporate and can tell you, here they are rotten! My advice, stay away from goodwill!

It is better to collect welfare than to work for Goodwill.
