Has anyone been hired in The Dalles yet? It seems that the same positions are being recruited for over and over again. Can anyone out there shed some light on Google in The Dalles? |

Google seems to keep posting the same positions over and over. I've applied and know that I'm qualified, plus I live near headquarters, but have never heard anything and now they have a questionairre to complete when you've completed the application. Can anyone shed some light on this? |

Wish I knew. I have 15 years of Unix experience and thought I'd at least get an interview of some sort. They seem to be *very* picky about who they want... Randy |

I wonder if they are actually being *picky* or if it is just that they want to appear to be hiring or it could be that our resumes are ending up in a black hole. |

They have outsourced engineering positions to Asia, and I wouldn't be surprised if they do the same with other kinds of positions as well. According to a business magazine this week, Google and its employees exude an air of arrogance. Even some of Google's advertising customers complain that the company sometimes appears cavalier about their concerns when it comes to the issue of click fraud. Some advertisers/customers believe Google ignored their claims.
No, thanks! |

Did you hear that Yahoo just merged with Viacom for all of its advertising? That is probably a big blow for Google. |

had 2 hour-plus phone interviews...the first, the guy called 10 minutes early...the second, the woman called 20 minutes late...both told the Recruiter that I did "great." The Recruiter told me "the recruitment has been postponed" over two months ago...they haven't responded to any e-mails in over 3 weeks. ...think I've been googled by Google... |

Anyone have a physical address (snail mail) for Google in the Dalles? I can't find it anywhere...anyhow?? Would appreciate any responses as I would like to send a resume that way.
