Does anyone know what "temp to hire" means in regards to Google? The temp company websites I've looked at all seem to indicate this is used as a probationary status with every intent to hire as a "normal" employee. If Google needed someone for a limited time wouldn't they just say "temporary" or am I trying to read too much into this term? |

Temp to hire does mean that a company is looking for a long term employee and the temporary status is usually about a 90 day window where both the employer and employee can make a decision if it is a good fit for both parties. Sometimes companies would rather use a staffing service as they are pressed for time to bring someone on board and agencies are always screening candidates. Just because a position is temp-to-hire does not mean it is guaranteed you will be hired by that company but in most cases they are looking long term and to bring you on as a FTE (full time employee). Hope that helps. |
