Every company has a slightly different style for interviewing and Harley-Davidson is no different. For our corporate and salaried positions we have initial screenings done by a Recruiter. This is a great way to double check the information that you submitted on your resume and get a better feel for your experience beyond what’s written on your resume.
If the phone screen goes well, the Hiring Leaders may choose to have a brief phone interview with you or you may proceed straight into the on-site interview. At the on-site interview you will be greeted by a member of our team and then be escorted to the interview room. You will meet some of our Hiring Leaders and then go through several behavioral based interviews questions. Those are usually experience-based and as a best practice we recommend you use a specific example when you can tell the Hiring Team what the root cause of the situation was, what actions you took to resolve it, who you involved, and what the outcome/action items were.
After the behavioral questions end, it is customary for the technical interview questions to begin. The Hiring Team may switch to more technical experts this part of the interview. These questions will be very specific and geared towards your technical expertise in the field. It is highly recommended that you do not generalize your experience here. You should be able to provide specific examples that highlight your level of experience.
That is a high-level overview of our interview process. Depending on the facility location, position, and hiring team; you may also have secondary interviews, site tours, and technical testing. This should give you a little bit of insight into what you should expect for a Harley-Davidson interview.
