The San Diego call center is populated with fewer felons and crazy tatoo freaks as some call centers, even so management is the most ruthless and dishonest bunch I have ever worked for. You're treated like employees of a 3rd world sweatship. They give you huge grief over every legitimate day off request, you're not allowed to be sick (and if you miss a day due to illness you are penalized). You are also punished if your car breaks down enroute work and has to be towed through no fault of your own, if family court or some other judge orders you to show up in court, or you need to visit the doctor or have medical tests done that are not available after business hours. Even on rare occasions when they do approve your time off, they can and will punish you down the road or threaten to punish you for having taken time off. Somebody needs to remind management that when you employ humans, you do have to comply with laws like the ADA or etc and that last time I checked it wasn't legal to punish or discipline people because of legitimate medical conditions or illnesses. There are some good people working here too, but because of ruthless politics (sneeze wrong and you get cut via e-mail or a phone call after business hours that day) they're afraid to speak up.
