What do you think -- is this company going to survive and thrive? Are they looking to expand their staff, or do you think layoffs are inevitable?

How does HCA stack up against the competition?

Are you asking this because of the recent news about being bought out? Well, I would have to say that HCA is definitely going to thrive. Investors do not spend money on investments that are going to tank, and I think that the management team for HCA is one of the best.

I noticed Sunrise Hospital (HCA Facility) is advertising for a CNO...hmmm.

Hears the deal: I noticed that Sunrise Hospital is advertising an opening for the CHIEF NURSING OFFICE, well, a friend who current works at All About Staffing (HCA subsidary)in the Las Vegas office commented that the Chief Nursing Officer (male) for Sunrise was the partner of the Regional Vice President of All About Staffing in Las Vegas and that this was an item of much controversy.

Also, All About Staffing has a very discriminator way of recruiting. For example, most agencies have you complete an online application and then you present your credientials with 1 year of proven acute care experience and your on your way to getting hired and scheduled. However, this local office in Vegas has you interviewing several times over and if they don't like to the way your "look", they claim you are not a "quality hire", whatever that means.

Apparently, the "quality hire" is something that the Las Vegas Regional VP is a stickler on....sounds like DISCRIMINATION if you ask me. And, oddly enough, my friend who works their is tring to find another employer because their Regional office is 90% caucasian and they have a high attrition rate due to these "quality hire" initiatives.

Oh, one last note: the Regional VP for AAS is (male). And my friend also told me that the HR Director that works at All About Staffing Las Vegas tells new employees that they need to be aware of the Regional VP sexual orientation.

Wow, sounds like HCA may have a class action law suit on their hands. WOULD HATE TO BE A SHAREHOLDER.

HCA is a dinosaur compared to other smaller agencies that have streamlined their process, etc.

HCA is not very innovative in their approach and very pronounced Nepotism at the Florida Corp Office. I hear they are letting people go left and right and apprently going through some labor litigation, etc.
