Cooking Externship

Hello I am a student from YTI in Pa i need a place to do my externship i have no experience in cooking every place that wants to hire me thinks i know how to cook on the line this is all new to me YTI the school is no help to me anymore anyone got any ideas. i like to bake. and cook. I live in columbia pa and which to work first shift around this area lanc or york is fine HELP!!!! my externship starts on July 18th.
