What's the company culture at HD Supply?

Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at HD Supply?

Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers?

What is a typical day in the life of an employee at HD Supply?

HDS is made up of a number of acquired businesses. The largest one used to be Hughes. Hughes was made up of a number of different divisions. I work for White Cap. Most of us wear jeans, even in management. Generally the higher up you are, the jeans are just newer/nicer and you wear better shoes and shirts. The atmosphere is generally relaxed and freindly. But we are serious about sales and beating the competition. I can't speak for the rest of HDS, but I have got the impression that it is similar everywhere else (as it is with most of our competition).
