Hertz chicago will not talk to mechanics union local 701 for over1 year, because they want the mechanics to take a large benefit cut, and they had their final offer since last feb 14.

What is the current hourly wage of the Hertz Local 701 mechanics? I'm a former member of Local 701 and I always thought Hertz was a good place to work. I've been out of the union for several years now - so this is surprising news to me.

Just wanted to clarify my previous comment. I never worked for Hertz , just heard that the car rental companies out at O'hare Airport that employed 701 mechanics were good places to work for. I guess that may not be the case anymore.
