Every business has its own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Home Depot: At Home Services? Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers? What is a typical day in the life of an employee at Home Depot: At Home Services? |

If you work for at home services, expect to be standing outside the store trying to get leads for your appointments. You are dress casual but unless you are in a good store (meaning a store that is located in a rich area), this is a waste of time. You will spend the whole day trying to get appointments. Expect to work all nights an weekends. Since this is a 100% commision job, you must have a sustantial amount of money to survive before you can actually sell their overprice products. People in the store, the ones that are supposed to help you, they won't! so don't waste your time. Home Depot RSW at home services is not a good company to work for. I wasted over 3 months with them. Good Luck! |

I am currently being hired as a At Home Service rep. The store is totally dead. We have Lowes and Menards right down the street. They tell me I need to make 10 appointments a week and close 15% of them. This seems like a tough thing to do. I have been pretty hesitant to continue the process. I am waiting for my background and drug tests to come back. I am leaning towards staying on unemployment, since that is guarenteed $$. |

Stay away from At-Services. The sales consultants in my area have either quit or been fired. You either run 12 leads in a four week period or you are gone. Now the sales consultants will have to generate all their own leads. Before most stores had their own in store lead generators......these positions are being eliminated and the sale consultant will have to generate these leads. Consultants get paid a straight 8% comission.....and out of this you pay all your expenses. The success sales rate for this area is only 22%. Not a good work environment. |

I agree about At Home Services. They expect you to drive al over the place and all expenses are absorbed by the salesman. Turn over is just crazy. A territory manager who had been with them for a while said," Home Depot At Home Services is a great place to work as long as your parents can afford to send you there." |
