Eventually, the IMS position will be deleted. Home Depot will be issuing hand-held devices--similar to the ones in receiving. So while IMS's are stuck with the job of doing this new bay sequencing, they will be out the door shortly...or at least the position. Be wary at your local Home Depot because, there will be a move to rid themselves of anyone make 11 dollars and over for any number of vague things like "Lacking integrity" or "dishonesty"--which is quiet ironic. I know we had our big firing spree a couple of months ago at our store--except black women were the targets here. They could have sued them, which I encouraged them to do, but they were too scared of these people. Cross merchandising is officially going to be gone and a part of MET duties.
