HD creates a rosy picture, full of expectations and rewards. Instead, you are required to work 55+ hours with little/no recognition for contributions and successes. District Managers, eager to get their piece of the profits, demean and threaten for increased performance. Expectations are set high with few resources or adequate time to successfully accomplish initiatives. The culture is one of fear and retribution, not of empowerment. After working at HD, you experience a great sense of relief realizing that other organizations are far more ethical and moral in treating their employees respectfully. Unfortunately, HD will continue to receive negative feedback until they realize that their employees are valuable resources, not just a means to an end!
