Maybe in a jobless poor economy like Michigan, where jobs at McDees are fought over, but here in Cali, cashiers start at around 10 bucks, McDees pays 8.75

Its just my store. We have a high turn around rate. They start you as a temp, then they let them go. So in all, maybe that though the temp agency. Home Depot is paying them higher but the cashier is only getting 7.75.

Here Cashiers did start out at 12.00 an hour. That was over 5 years ago. Sad that here in Michigan all we had was auto sector. Unemployment is 17% not bad.

Home depot does not give their employees any discount whats so ever. They claim that their prices are low.... What good thing is you will be able to see the green tags before customers. Lowe's gives their employees 10% off.

Hi, at our store they start at 9.75 then a 50 cent raise after 6 mths if you last that long. No discounts and always push the credit cards. They treat employees like dirt and expect to work hard on weekends as you will be short handed at the tills. The following year you may get a 10 cent raise.

This is a company that expects its employees to do spinning back-flips through hoops of fire while being treated like crap by the management. Seriously, the managers are a bunch of incompetent buffoons who are desperate to climb the corporate ladder.
