So I got the letter dated April 30th thta Home Depot lost a laptop that contained 5,600 employees SS#'s, paycode & bonus amount for SPIF or MIP programs.

Anyone else heard anything?

I can scan and post letter later. So what can I do about this? Sue? They offered 1 year of free credit monitoring.

Hi, Scotty, were they SSC employees or store employees? I'd like to see the letter that was sent to you.

The Home Depot has been charged many times by the EEOC (there is an open investigation going on right now about sexual harassment (VPs and big Execs) preying on SSC trainees, direct reports and subordinates. The EEOC investigation, filed on July 21, 2006 in Atlanta, also is investigating Depot paying women less than men in similar roles and offering disparate pay, promotion and advancement opportunities for women (gender discrimination) in their merchandising organization at the SSC. Looks like the Good Ol' Boys are at it again! I'd like to hear from anyone who knows about this and any rumors/truths about it.

Actually it apparently was employees who got the spifs from the new trial kitchen cabinet promo. Any other cabinet specialists out there could verify this if it happened to them. I will get the wife to scan it so I can post to web. The other girl who worked with me got one also.

Thanks

Could you expand on this. One associate had a coupon for 20% and it was being investigated... What happened?

I have worked at the depot for a little over 6 months, started out as a cashier for $7.25 an hour part time... I got transfered after 3 months of begging everytime i got a chance and a letter of recomendation from my supervisor who said i would be an asset to the department that i was applying for... Only after a coworker that had quit the depot called the awarness line to report sexual discrimination was i considered for the job as I am the only female in this position, A man was hired 4 months after I was there and they started him out at $10.00 when he hits his 90 days he will be making $1.00 more than I am and in no way shape or form will they consider me for full time even though my supervisor has asked them to. I work almost full time hours now 36-38 a week but was told that i can for so many weeks then they will cut my hours so they do not have to give me full time because it isn't availble to me. I am more efficient than the others on my team and most of the time I am found completing my tasks and helping the others to do the same... I stay over when the team needs me even though i was told by our hrm that i wasn't allowed for any reason to work more than my scheduled hours

a fellow employee here in athens, ga was verbally abused and threatened by our store manager. She reported the incident to Corporate and they did nothing. She wanted him to get anger management classes and was to afraid to work when he was here. she finally quit when they ignored her. He yells and demeans all of us. He is a good old boy and everyone knows where he stands. red, yellow, black and female are all targets for abuse.
