SJ in Atlanta in Atlanta, Georgia said: Shay G: I also work at The Home Depot, and am concerned about the situation your friend has shared with you. Please know that individuals can contact our AwareLine, which is available to all current and former associates to report concerns related to their employment and to report compliance violations. Callers may choose to remain anonymous. The contact info for the AwareLine is posted on the communications bulletin board in or near the breakroom. who are you kidding? the aware line is a JOKE! your setting yourself up to get terminated if you call the aware line. there is nothing anonymous about it. |

Home Depot's Success Sharing is a Joke. The managers get all of the money. They aren't very Successful at Sharing any with the employees. |

I had a job interview with one of the managers I had a great chemistry with the managers at home depot and I answer the question theoretically about myself about how I'm good with making sure customers are satisfied and about my knowledge about hardware. Then i had a second interview and they pretty much asked the same questions and i smiled and answered them enthusiastically and in a positive manner. Then I find about from the supervisor that give me the second interview that she didn't hire me, because I was too chatty. It seems they to pretentiously hire people that are not so chatty. That's just how I and I can't help who I am. Its seem like this cooperate headmasters hire certain types of people just to make themselves like good and use them as they treat and neglect people. The employment system at home depot is terrible! And i bet you they discriminate against people for all types of reasons like disabilities, appearances, etc. |

I know where you are coming from. They suck big time and they do discriminate, they did me that way every time I went up for a promotion. I suffered there for 3 yrs and that was long enough for me. GET OUT IF YOU CAN AFFORD TO. |

THEY DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WHEN YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT SOMEONE. THE PERSON IS STILL WORKING THERE AND INSTEAD HAS GOTTEN RID OF OTHER PEOPLE EXCEPT FOR THE CULPRIT. WHAT A JOKE IT IS AT HOME DEPOT. |

eddy said: it wasent because of your sickness they got rid of you. They got rid of you because you were making more than mininum wage. Home depot is on borrowed time. Menards will be taking over soon I agree 100% with this Eddy,I was let go last year for allegedly not helping a customer. The only problem was, this incident never took place & they told me about it a week after the non incident never ocurred! I believe they needed the week to concoct a fairy tale... I was making above minimum wage as well. Saving money for managers's bonuses & their shareholders is what HD managment is all about... What a bs co... |

i hate how managers show favoritism to certain employees. its very unfair. these employees get to do what ever they want and come in to work when ever they want. but when i ask for 2 days off they reject it and give me an attitude. |

What a bs co... I disagree I make 4$ over min wage and know people that make 10$ more an hour than myself, at the store I work at we rarely let people go .... I almost wish we "cut the fat" so many people do nothing in the name of "customer service" and no one is allowed to penalize them because our #1 job is customer service. I came here looking for people who have experienced the same issues that I have been facing and it seems this thread is complaining about singular locations, if your problem is with a manager or a location you should not put that on all of THD other places are different. |
