Don't waste your time with HSBC. Age Discrimination is rampant.

I am 46 but look a lot younger. I was contacted by HSBC HR department today to fill out their application on their website. Are you saying that with many years of customer service, IT, marketing, etc. experience they will turn someone down because of their age?

HSBC does not age discriminate - I was hired as an acct exc and I am over 50. One must complete an online application and then HR will contact the local DM. I have to admit, the majority of employees are under 40.

Someone else said, HSBC employees are made to work 60 hrs. We work 40 hrs, not one minute more unless management approves OT. You complete an online time card. Time reported must be accurate.

Good company to work for, but with the credit industry crumbling, they will have to restructure to cover losses.
