all i know is so far at the experience day event which lasts 3 hours, they will give u a tour and u can ask any questions towards the end you will have the face to face interview which is based on customer service type questions then that will be followed by some role playing. thats all i know.

Hi there, ermm i have made it for the final stage which is face to face interview. Last for 3 Hrs (Gosh!) In the telephone interview they will ask u why u want to work for Hsbc. Where u see ya self in 5/10 yrs. What skills u have...Where u have worked previously....Its pretty simple really. Just try and be calm and sound confident. Hope that Helps. Got an Interview tomorrow. hey also made it to the face to face interview too...i think u must have had it same time has me...yes the 3 hours...Do tell me what they ask in the face to face...and also what u do in the role play..oh and GOODLUCK..

Hey Zee. Am sure u would be fine. Unfortunately i did not get the position. Anyways ermm in the 1 2 1 interview they ask u why u want to work at hsbc. They would also ask u a time where u had to meet a certain deadline, my example was handing an essay in,and they want u to go in more depth,e.g when did u have to meet the deadline for, did u achieve the deadline, what could you have done differently etc.

in the role play they give u a sheet of paper and u have 10 mins to read it, and then u have to be the advisor and the interviewee would be customer and she would be saying iv got an account, i want a savers account, how much would i save, any discounts. etc.

I thought my interview went ok, but i dont know why i have failed i have emailed them to give me a feedback...Hope that Helps Zee, bext of wishes for ya interview.

Hey guys....I have passed the telephone interview with HSBC and have the face2face today in Hamilton. I have been in a similar situation in the past when applying for o2 broadband. The procedure at the face2face im prosuming is very similar on both accounts. You get the tour of the building, you might get a video presentation, followed by either the interview then the roleplaying. I had my face2face with o2 and thought i done fairly well, but unfortunately i did not get the position. Like you said NAZ i got an email a few days later saying i was unsuccessful with my application.
Wish me luck guys for the position at HSBC. Seems like a great opportunity to get into banking and possibly progress up the ladder in due course.
