Does anyone know who HSBC is working with to help place the folks that are being laid off in South and North Carolina? Are they using an outsourcing company? We have positions that might help and H.R. has not responded to our inquiries. thank you! |

No but there is a lot of us loosing our jobs in the processing centers In ILl. The current rummor is end of feb around 150 or so. They are not trying to place us they are making hard for us to leave. You know we made them lots of money now the industry is bad lets get them to leave so we don't have to pay severance. UNLESS you want to work like a slave in collections for low wages and dead end job. They are always hiring... I wonder why ? Hr are you kidding do they know what they are suppose to do. Working hard does not get you any where any more. It's who you know ?. |

If you want to stay in the financial services industry we have a Card Services department in Newark that is currently hiring. Perhaps your skills from HSBC are transferable. |

The Bene/HFC business model is so changed and unprofitable it cannot sustain itself over the long term. Brick/Mortar for sure will go away. Likely to be just a centralized platform in the end. Perry, interesting comment. Are you thinking that there will be more branch closures at HFC and Beneficial? |
