What do you think - will Insight Global Inc. grow fast? Are they expanding their staff? How does Insight Global Inc. stack up against the competition?

Insight Global is one of the most terrible consulting companies I have ever worked for. Their recruiting staff has no idea what they are doing and it seems like I have a new recruiter every time they call. Also, I feel like I am training their recruiters on how to do their job. And they call these people technical? It seems to me that they have great customer service for the companies they work with, but terrible for their contractors. I will never work with them as either a contractor or a hiring manager!!! THEY ARE TERRIBLE!

I have had a very different experience with Insight Global. Their recruiters seem to have a "do what it takes" attitude and everyone I have spoken with there is very professional and energetic. Other staffing firms will take days to get back to me when I call into the office, and I always get to speak with a recruiter about any issue I have, almost as if they work together as a team. I read articles online that said they were the fastest growing company in the industry and that is exactly the kind of place I want to be working with as a contractor.

Jason Confidential in Marietta, Georgia said: I find it funny that people want to work with a company because it is the fastest growing in the industry. I like working with companies like tek systems where they actually get people jobs. Insight Global employs people Like a girl named Kathleen who is one of the rudest people I have ever spoken to on the phone in my life

I think that they're growing so quickly because they're getting a ton of people jobs, at least that has been my experience. Again, the best advice I have is that if you're nice and attentive to them, they'll be nice and attentive to you!

Whether it is because they get a lot of people jobs or not, they still are not pleasant to speak to, unless you feel like educating a recruiter that is straight out of college that has absolutely 0 experience in the industry. Would you not rather work with company that actually has experienced recruiters? regardless of what resumebuilder in Atlanta, Georgia says I guess you just have to experience the train wreck that is insight global on your own. I am pretty sure they are a self serving company that really doesnt care to get you a job for a good wage unless they are making a lot of money! Good luck!!!

Jason,

You probably had a bad experience w/ Insight Global, I cannot fault you for being angry.
I have worked as a contractor for Insight Global for a number of years and they are GREAT.
I am actually working for them full time now, and this is considering that I was done w/
Corporate America long time ago. If you speak w/ a rude person at Insight Global, call
and report it...we take that stuff serious.

I honestly cant imagine what a good experience is like from a recruiter. The worst experiences that I have had came from Insight Global and tek systems. Both times I struggled to get paid on time, both times it was always someone elses fault any time I called in to get things worked out with my paycheck. I find it hilarious that Insight wont even let you speak to someone in payroll to fix a payroll problem. I will never work with either of these companies again. Has anyone other than the people who work as internal employees for Insight or Tek systems ever had a good experience with either of these companies?

I can Honestly say that Tek Systems in MN is a joke, they do not care about their contractors and only care about the money they can make off you. The recruiters are salesman that can really spin a line of crap. And their accoutn managers are true used car salesman. An example, my contract was coming to an end and the client told me, i never even heard from Tek's account manager that it was ending, either cowardice or lack of professionalism you take your pick. This was the second time I took a contract from them andit will be the last as both were a joke.

Insight's account managers are all cowards too! Each time a contract "ends" they have the recruiter call to let you know, Joe you are right about both companies! I am not one who typically complains a lot, but I have never been screwed over by a company so bad in my life. I wish people had the decency to talk to you about why you were actually let go rather then lie. Do they think you dont talk to people that you worked with once you are gone??? The account manager I worked with was named Ali (i think) and she might have been one of the dumbest people I have ever spoken to. Not technical, sounded like my burn out roomate from college on the phone... They really make me steam just thinking about the way I was treated!

I am a recruiter at Insight Global, and every single day I am searching for candidates and doing the best I can to find the right positions for the right people. Insight Global has given me the chance to succeed immediately upon graduating college; I haven’t regretted any decision I have made since! Being a part of the Insight Global family is something much bigger than it appears from an outsider looking in. How many people can honestly say they love their job? How many people really look forward to going into work every morning at 7am? How many people are obsessed with every single person in the company? I can proudly admit that I am OBSESSED with my job, the company I work for, and every single person I work with! And I am absolutely certain that everyone else within the 20+ offices we have are just has obsessed as I am.
My favorite part of being an employee of IGI is how much the entire company is a family. I don’t think anyone really understands how lucky someone is to be apart of our company. I consider the people in my office to be my brothers, sisters, and parents. And the people in our offices throughout the nation are my cousins, aunts, and uncles. I know it all may sound cliché, but it is true. I love that fact that the people I work with aren’t just your every day employees. I can go to them for any kind of advice. Everyday I look forward to coming into work and staying late if needed. Don’t get me wrong, I am not bragging about being an over-achiever, but the true reason why I come in early and stay late is because I love the people who make up Insight Global. They motivate me to be successful! Everyone who works for my company is a strong, motivated, risk-taking, personable, challenging, hilarious, caring, and confident person in their professional and personal lives.
Insight Global is a company that has only been around for less than 10 years. The success, growth, and opportunity within th is company are substantial and record-breaking. Who w

Unfortunately, some people just don't understand the industry and that things do change on a regular basis when you are dealing with a technical client. I work for Insight Global and I know first hand that NO ONE works harder to make sure our clients are happy and taken care of. We have the "whatever it takes" mentality to make sure we come through for each of our valued customers. We get in at 7 every morning and will not leave until the position is filled. We hire competitive, energetic, genuine, and HONEST college grads from top universities. Our recruiters are the life of our company and the reason we work so hard. This is usually their first job right out of school and yes they have a lot to learn and sometimes make mistakes but that does not take away from their work ethic and their good intentions. We work day in and day out to make sure we are finding people job's, but more importantly, the right people for the job. We are one of the fastest growing IT firms and it stems from our process and work ethic.

If you do not receive the job and your recruiter calls you it does not mean the Account Manager is a "coward". It's a way to TEACH recruiters how to handle these types of converstations. The recruiter builds a relationship with the candidate and it is their responsibility to call a candidate to let them down. It's not fun, but its part of the job.

All in all, Insight Global has an extremely positive attitude and takes care of its contractors. If someone is rude, call us and let us know because it will not be tolerated. I am extremely proud to work for this company and would recommend close family and friends to use us if ever in need of a job. I love going to work every single day and that is more than a lot of people can say!

Okay here's a true story, I was unemployed for 6 months and had been to 20 or 30 interviews before I was contacted by Insight Global. I spoke with Chris of the Burlington, Mass branch, and he mentioned that he had a position open that would fit exactly what I was looking for.
Chris and the entire staff at Insight, ensured that I was properly prepared for this job! They literally tailor a job to your background and interest. Each staff member went out of there way to help me exceed my goals of landing that perfect job!
I strongly suggest giving Insight Global a shot because they are well above the competition- hands down!

Insight Global provides a valuable service to employers. Their job is to locate valuable resources to staff growing companies. When the recruiter called me, it was like a dream come true! Everyone says your experience actually matters, but until I received an offer to work with IG, the job hunt was bleak. For those who are commenting about misinformation and poor support, remember the reason why things could have changed. When you are on assignment, the agency calls you. They are your contact. It isn't their fault when something changes at the company. Their job is to find the resource, and that was why they chose YOU! I found the perfect job, no wait-the perfect job found ME thanks to Insight!

Don't kill the messenger! I have been working for Insight Global for the last three years and I can tell you that this is as professional of a company as it gets. As an account manager, I can tell you that things change last minute and sometimes things don't change for the better, it's unavoidable. I can tell you that you are most likely taking your frustrated feelings out on the wrong company. You interviewed for a job with another company not Insight Global. If the hiring manager lost funding, found another candidate, or the type of position changed in some way as in your case...we are just the messengers. I can tell you that I have placed many people with jobs and made a lot of people very happy. No one is malicious or spikeful at Insight Global, in fact we are the exact opposite. I'm sorry you feel that way, but Insight Global is a great company, one of the fastest growing in the industry (and you can't do that unless you are good), and we take pride in our job. Finding people work is a noble profession and I am proud of this company and the people who work here!

Insight Global has been a great company to work for. They have provided me with a place to learn about myself, learn about the business world and in the end, succeed. I had other jobs coming out of college and graduate school, and this has been the only place where the effort that you put in directly correlates with your success. I’m not going to sugar coat it, though, it’s extremely hard work. It takes motivation, dedication, and a great mentality. But if you have all of these things, Insight Global provides the opportunity to not only succeed but be part of a company that is growing like crazy. I can’t think of a better place to work.

Truth: Insight Global's hours are 7am-5pm (always encouraged to stay later than 5pm). Employees do not come in and stay late because they want to, it's because they HAVE to (company hours)! Employees are expected to get on the phones no later than 8am. If they do not, they are yelled at. (Micro-Managed)

Yes they do hire recent college graduates and do not hire experienced technical recruiters or sales people. Recruiters are promoted to Account Managers once they have shown their commitment and dedication to Insight Global.

Starting out pay is horrible. The recruiters are over worked and under paid. If you are promoted to a sales position, then yes your pay will most likely increase (as long as you work hard). The income potential for account managers are endless. As some have mentioned and I agree with, you can have a successful career with Insight Global.

If you are a contractor, then yes you will probably have a new recruiter. Insight Global has a high turnover because of the reasons stated above.

I no longer work for this company. I'm grateful for the knowledge that I have learned because I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for Insight Global but then again, it is a lot of BS to put up with. I now work regular hours, not micro managed and make twice as much money as I did at Insight Global.

Can you really enjoy working 60 hours a week and love your life?

Unfortunately, that is not true for any job. The majority of jobs today require a minimum number of years to even be considered for a promotion. More importantly, the majority of jobs will have a higher starting salary, but you will stay there for years and years. Those who are successful WANT to stay late and work weekends if necessary to come through for our clients. We work hard so that we can retire early and enjoy our family and friends.

It's sad that past employees who were not a good fit for the company feel the need to badmouth Insight Global and spread negative thoughts.

I was very successful at Insight Global. I worked there for a long time but honestly, I wanted a life. I wanted a life that I could spend quality time with family and friends. Unfortunately, I did not have that luxury at this company. I left on my own terms...Insight Global would have never let me go; I made them way too much money. If I wasn't a good fit for this company based on that then I wouldn't want to work for a company like that anyway.

This will be my last post. I prefer not to battle back and forth about this company. I just wanted to give the honest truth for potential employees/employers.

Good luck!

Everywhere you go, experiences are going to be different. You cannot deny that. Some employees have good ones, some have okay, and some have horrible ones. An employee who has had a genuinely bad experience with insight global has as much right to post their experiences as someone who has had nothing but outstanding experiences.

Honestly, judging by the fact that Maddie7 keeps changing location with each post, adds more weight to the truth of her story. Could it be bogus, maybe. Who knows? I thought this was a discussion about Insight Globals fast uprising in the world of contract work, not a pinball machine for tossing around conspiracy theories. If you wanted to do that Justincase1, you might as well say they are all aliens too. Since they never let a contractor back into their work environment.

Do I work for ISG? Yes. Do I feel that they are a scam? Not in the least. Last I checked my bank statement, I was getting paid USD, not paperclips or tyridium chips only used outside the milky way.

Different branches are going to work in different ways, and you cannot judge an entire company by their Podunk USA branch. I think the DC/Baltimore branch does a good job for the amount of high profile jobs in this particular area.

If you had a bad experience, you can always just, oh I dunno, get a job somewhere else...

I worked at Insight Global and taking that job was probably one of the worst decisions I ever made. Everyone lies, cheats and steals there...not to mention sleeps with each other. It is like being in college only worse! They cheat their contractors out of their hard earned money and they price their clients WAY above an acceptable bill rate. Insight Global is disgusting and unethical and the Sales Manager used to show up drunk or hungover to all of my client meetings with me. Super classy.

I got a call yesterday from Callie at IG in the Houston office who had a job for me that I "would be great at". I haven't had a bite on my resume in months so I talked to her. There were a ton of warning bells going off as I was talking to her. As I started to look into the company, I found it interesting that Google's autofil offered up "Insight Global scam". At any rate, my experience with just a phone call follows many of the same experiences above.
1. First, she said she found my resume on monster.com. To me, that's a strike against her. If she was serious, she would be cruising around dice.com.
2. I told her I work front-line level I & II support for an ISP. She follows up with "Sooo, does that mean you can do troubleshooting?". (strike 2)
3. I got into more detail on my job and got the vague "thats great. yeah, great". She didn't have a clue what I was talking about & I wasn't even going into any sort of tech-speak. (strike 3)
4. When I returned her initial voicemail, she didn't have a clue who I was or what I was calling about. Was told "let me pull up your resume here". And then asked where I worked. Umm, if she's got my resume in front of her, she can see exactly where I work.
5. I'm looking for full time work, and have my monster acct reflecting that. The job she offered me was 20-30 hrs/week part time, at a location about 60 miles away.
6. Next, I got a follow-up email from her. In it, I am asked to provide my current company, job title "(if you know it)". EH? huh? What are the odds that I'm not going to know my own job title?

I got the impression that my contact information & location was harvested by Insight Global with not a glance of the specifics of my resume. Or if my resume was looked at, it wasn't understood. It was then handed off to some newbie hire. Lets face it, the state of Wyoming is not exactly a real juicy/desired territory to have for a recruiter. But jeez, she was nice/friendly enough but didn't have a CLUE.

This is extremely interesting! I received an email from an ISG recruiter based out of Ft. Lauderdale, FL telling me that he had "just received my resume and it looked great!" I began going over my notes and realized I hot not sent my resume to them, no biggie...so I continue to peruse the email and he tells me he wants me to send him my resume as an attachment in word format and provide 3 references...if he has my resume why the need for me to send it again? No problem, I attach it, send the 3 references, and as yet (going on 5 days now) I have not heard a sound from him. I'm really glad I came upon this series of postings! I think I've read enough to continue elsewhere for my employment. Thanks so much everyone for the information and honest history with this organization!

The only reason they want your references is so they can call your old managers in an attempt to create new business. They will lie and lead you to believe they have a job opening just to get what they want. If they stop taking your calls and no longer return your emails then you have fallen victim to their trap. They feed you a bunch of empty words and that's it. The IT world is better without them.

The staffing industry provides job opportunities to millions of individuals every year. The ultimate goal of every reputable firm is to place qualified candidates in positions in which they can succeed, and become a permanent employee, unless the position is truly contract and the employee is compensated fairly on contract status. IG is not a company you want to work for based on my experience with them for the past 4 years

I am a contractor who works for Insight Global and I cannot understand what these people are talking about. Insight Global is one of the most professional firms I have ever worked for. Young energetic, very knowledgeable people that works for Insight Global. I think all of these people that are whining is young punks who just doesn't understand what work is all about. You couldn't ask for a better company to work for and how helpful they have been whenever I had questions for them. Highly Recommended.

I would rate them " THEY ARE GREEDY AND THEY WILL TAKE YOU FOR RIDE ONCE THEY PLACE YOU" . They will be nice to you till your first day . and they will not be around when have any payroll questions. or other benefits questions. And they are the highest when comes to take out from billing rate. Make sure you find out the billing rate from the company you are going to work for. Its going be not easy to get this info. But try it after you your 2nd or 3rd week.. for me eg.. IG was paying be $16 per hour and after working for 6 month , I found out from my Manager they were bill me @ $32 per hour.. And he asks me you should be making no less then. $25-28 per hour. he as me to quit immediately and change my agency.. Now on the same job I am making $10 more with other agency.

GOOD LUCK.

Let me give you my recent experience with Insight Global. I was called about an entry-level job based on my resume posting. I went in to "interview" (if you can call it that) the same day and to complete a short exam about my product knowledge. The recruiter was a 21-year old who was friendly but seemed completely distracted and clueless. The exam had extremely advanced questions about the product and a bunch of other stuff that wasn't related to the job. When I mentioned that, she said she didn't know anything about those other questions, but immediately started hinting that I wasn't going to actually get the job she'd described and that they would have me in the system for other positions. Hmmmm....Still, I did looked forward to getting my score because I was familiar with the basics of the product and was curious to know how I did on the exam.

I did sneak a peak at the interior office area, behind the double doors, which were open. It had the appearance of a "boiler room" with a bunch of mainly young guys sitting at open desks making calls. This did not exactly inspire confidence, but I figured I would persevere and go with it. My recruiter returned and assured me that my exam would be scored that day...she mumbled something about her boss needing to look for the answer key.

The next morning, I'd heard nothing, so I sent a friendly email thanking her and letting her know how much I looked forward to knowing my score so it could be submitted. I heard nothing back all day, until 4:45pm, when I got a response stating that my test had still NOT BEEN SCORED but would be scored by day's end. Well, the day was almost over at that point. That was the last I heard from her. It's now Tuesday morning and I've heard nothing.

Employers -- is this the firm you want representing you in the marketplace? A "boiler room" type operation, with people who are even incapable of faking interest and seem completely inept at even the most basic client service?

Nice try. Your contemptuous attitude is atypical of anyone I know who is a technical professional. However, it seems to precisely mirror that of the "young punks" who I experienced at Insight Global. This company is a disgrace, as its laughably transparent attempts to repair its horrible image -- an image based on reality, I might add. I strongly suspect that your comment came from within the organization. Thankfully this forum exists to warn others.

EPhillips in Baltimore, Maryland said: Everywhere you go, experiences are going to be different.

Yes...Research Triangle Park, Sunnyvale, Houston, Fort Lauderdale. I wouldn't call these places "Podunk, USA." What you don't seem to grasp is that this outfit is wasting people's precious time and behaving like a bunch of frat boys who flunked out in sophomore year. These antics are obviously being perpetrated at the very top of the organization, and numerous individuals have called them out on it here and elsewhere. In the past, this gang would have been peddling travel scams or penny stocks. Now they're out here peddling technical people, trying for a big score.

This whole, "I don't know why people are picking on my awesome company" vomit is quite old. We've seen this, exact, regurgitated comment copy and pasted from other forums where we've warned others of how unprofessional Insight Global really is. Truthfully, the complaints about Insight Global are clearly not just from one office, but more corporate wide. Insight Global wastes your time and tests your patience in an ever increasingly difficult employment market. Their staff is untrained and ill equipped in handling the professions they are suppose to be filling. If you feel the need to be bullied, spoken with in condescending manner, and otherwise ignored. Sure go with Insight Global and pull your hair out. Listen to them only boast their excellent service and placement. From everything I've seen and experienced, I can not believe any of their banter nor that anyone really values their services.

Their recruiters are unethical and unprofessional. The only questions they ask are about where else the candidate is interviewing, even going to the extent of asking the name and contact details of hiring manager. I would never work with them.

With their business model of hiring only Cheerleaders and sports jocks to work for their company, they won't survive much longer.

All of you are nuts....Insight Global is an excellent company to work for. It sounds like a majority of these comments are from young kids who do not want to work. Living off of mommy and daddy to long. I have worked for different contracting companies and Insight Global treats you with respect as long as you do your work. Plenty of room for advancement...as long as you do your work.
