What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at Internal Data Resources?

What do you like best about working at Internal Data Resources? Are there any great perks or special treats for employees?

The starting salary is around $30,000 ... plus, you get to make commissions on top of that. There are no real bonuses, at least none that are realistically obtainable. Travel? Forget about it! The only traveling you do is to and from work. Otherwise, you’re cramped up in a small cubicle the size of a gum wrapper and forced to work slave-like hours all week. IDR will offer you a few benefits – like the $4.95 cell phone that you get as their way of showing you the “investment” they are making in you. Look, if you’re reading this site, then you are obviously considering a job with us. Bottom line, I have worked here since August and I hate it. I would love to quit, but I need a job! And there are so few out there right now. If you want a horrible job, with no real career opportunities, and a company that will promise you the world and not deliver, IDR IS FOR YOU!!!

I'm thinking about interviewing for the recruiter position at IDR for a "just for right now" job. However, I was wondering if you could help me answer a few questions.

What exactly is the nature of the "recruiter" position at IDR?

-Do you cold call people to sell things or do you actually try to recruit people for IT job positions from resume submissions?

-Is IDR a quota driven environment or is it truly salary without crazy metric goals?

Thanks :)

If you work hard and want to build something. Sorry Jessie, we get great benefits ( although you were not eligible, they kick in after the first week). Had you stuck around for more than a day, you would have seen the great bonuses every quarter. Dude, stay home. You really don't need the job, your mom and dad can't be charging you that much rent. Good luck to you.

Haha! That is so funny. For what it is worth ... I don't have any hard feelings towards IDR and its people. They do work hard, and everyone has to pay rent in one way or another. I just hope that people that are considering interviewing will read this first and note that the pitch they sell you on is not the real deal. Can you make a decent living there? Sure. Depends on how you define decent though? I seriously doubt anyone there is making 6 figures ... and for the 90+ hours a week they demand ... that is what I would expect in return.

If I could point out one gripe ... it would be that the company treats its people like children. The rules in place are typical of those found in a grade-school classroom. Again, the $5.00 cell phone only reinforces the notion.

As for quitting ... well, yes I did. And didn't look back! And now, I make 4x the salary that IDR pays ... I work only 50 hours a week ... and I get to travel the country. My advice again for anyone with half a brain that is considering this place - DO SOMETHING ELSE! You will be happier, you will be treated with more respect, and you will grow and learn.

A cell phone does not reflect anything. I get it dude. You are all about yourself. " I quit... ", "I make this..." "I get to travel..." I had to follow rules..." " I want an iPad, gold plated, given to me...." . Who ever you are ( you dont have the courage to say) we are glad YOU DID SOMETHING ELSE....I never got a pitch. These guys let me see everything, talk to anyone, ask whatever questions, talk to the president to allow me to see everything. I was never sold and I'm here helping these hard working peers of mine do more than pay the rent. I am treated with respect, happy, growing and learning a ton. Thanks for your perspective. Gotta go! just a call on my company paid for iPhone....
