McWageSlage in Mesa, Arizona said: I went to a job fair for chase in Phoenix. Everything went well and the interviewer was friendly and professional. I got the call 5 days later to say I was being offered the job.
The recruiter spend 20 minutes explaining to me how I could be fired for lateness, absenteeism, non pro-formance, breathing, thinking, chewing...etc...Oh well, that's to be expected it's corporate america, sad but, expected. Then, the big Whammo!! You will have 2 weeks held back and should not expect a paycheck for around 4-5 weeks???? Huh, I asked dumbfounded. Well, you fall into a off pay cycle (they pay twice a month) okay, but what about withholding 2 weeks pay? I didn't get a straight answer about the "pay holdback" which I always assumed was illegal but, I guess not.

I was just thunderstruck. How am I going to get to work, without any pay for 5 weeks? Last time I checked, work = paycheck to buy stuff.

Also, the job would be collecting on past due mortgages. Their pay policy would make a homeowner late on their mortgage payment. So, in essence, their PAY POLICY would be the CAUSE of late payments.

Chase is pathetic and irresponsible. If that's what you get before you even walk through the door, I can only imagine the bloody horror show that would await me as an employee. I don't hate myself enough to take a job like that. Maybe it will have more of an appeal when I am homeless and eating my dinner out of a trashcan. (no offense to the homeless)

Stay the away from these corporate slags. Nobody deserves that kind of treatment. Think better of yourself and don't allow yourself to used to futher their already overflowing coffers. Bleack!!!!!

you made the right choice bro- chase and jamie dimon are the biggest jerkoffs in banking. i can't wait until dimon is in prison, god willing.

You are so correct, JP MORGAN CHASE BANK IS A SWEATSHOP!! I was ranked #3 for processor loan closings several months in a row, however, my Supervisor wrote me up for production so they would have an excuse to not pay bonuses or commissions. They will ALWAYS find a way to cheat their employees out of money and justify outsourcing Americas jobs to Manilla and other places in the Philippines, another example of many is if you start with Chaseworks or other temp agency any loan that is assigned or application for loan dated during your temp time (which was several hundred to each temp processor)you are not eligible for the commission or bonuses on these loans even if you worked on the loan from day one and it closes after your official start date as full time perm. Chase employee! And it should come as no surprise that Chase Supervisors and VPs will not tell you these facts so they can get more loans closed without paying the ones who did all the work! Google "JP Morgan Chase fines" to find out about all the fines Chase has been given for lying, cheating, deceit to employees and investors not to mention the help Chase gave Enron and other big companies to cheat their investors too all so they could give money to themselves and their friends! Guess I didn't make the friend list but I have started a lawsuit against Chase for denying my unemployment, wrongful termination, discrimination, and so much more and my attorneys feel very confident of winning with all of my documentation, including over 950 different documents of Supervisor's emails, pipeline reports, conversation logs and so many other pieces evidencing Chase's lying, cheating, and theft! It is my sincere hope that anyone thinking of becoming an employee or customer of JP Morgan Chase Bank will do your homework, read everything in here, and do Google searches to make a wise and informed decision so you can save yourself from the pain, anxiety, and aggravation this Bank is known to for!!!

I just want to warn anyone before you accept a job in the BK dept in San Diego.. Today was my last day at Chase by the grace of God I was able to find another job and get out of there. That was the most stressful sweat shop of a job I have ever worked my whole life.. If you want to be over worked, under paid, treated like crap and talked to like a kid.. Accept the offer. The work load is ridiculous and management refuses to acknowledge that. Your job is threatened everyday for something as small as forgetting to cut your cell phone off or getting coffee while being clocked in! You are given sick time and 3wks vacation .. Vacation days are never available and if you have an appointment and call in sick you are disciplined for it and have to sign an occurrence sheet. after you call in sick so many times (6?) you will be fired! Micro mange is an understatement.. EVERYONE there hates it! You are required to complete 14 reports a day PLUS weekly reports and mid month reports... Twice a month you are pushing a total of 30+ reports in one week.. If not you will fail quality, get written up or fired! Reps are desk sharing with night shift staff. The cubicles went from high level corporate to call center/computer lab small. 250+ reps with 2 monitors all punching keyboards for dear life to complete those reports and feed their families.. Place is pure hell
