I am a full time bank teller working at JP Morgan Chase for more than 10 years. Prior to its merger with Bank One, We full time tellers use to work 35 hours a week (Banking Hours 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM) Mondays to Fridays. After the Merger, they increase the working hours of full time employees to 40 hours a week from 35 (New Banking Hours became 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily in New York City & 8:30 to 6:00 PM daily in the neighborhood Queens New York Area). But the Worst Part is your pay remains EXACTLY THE SAME. No Overtime Whatsoever or just at least extra normal pay per hour for extra hours work. In SHORT. WORKING EXTRA FIVE HOURS PER WEEK WITH EXACTLY SAME PAY MEANS PAYCUT!! No wonder there is a very highturnover rates of tellers at JP Morgan Chase in the New York Area & they are having a hard time hiring new tellers

My last job I worked almost 50 hours with no overtime, no pay increases, and could barely take a break or have lunch without someone breathing down my neck and this is was so-called "high end" fitness phenomenom. Yeah right!!Thanks for screwing me EQUINOX FITNESS CLUBS. Hahahaha |

If you want or need to work 35-37 hours per week to be considered a full time employee - try a credit union. Those days are G-O-N-E. You did not get a paycut - you had had a pay increase for the years you worked 35 hours/week. |
