What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at Jani-king Int'l?

What do you like best about working at Jani-king Int'l? Are there any great perks or special treats for employees?

San Diego Regional Office. They do not want anyone discussing salaries but it happens everywhere privately, people talk, especially when they start to become disgruntled or terminated. Though I have been gone a year now I have met and talked with recent ex-employees as recent as this month November 2008. Some very few things have changed since I have been their but not much.

Account Executives: Salary per month $3400.00 plus commission. Commission is after you sell $4000.00 a month. (This amount increased from what I remember). Must be reached each month or written warnings and then out the door by the third month. Commission after you sell $4000.00 is 30%. You sell $4000.00 then another $1000.00, your 30% is on the $1000.00. Jani King has purchased 7 new Chevy HHR's in 2008 and my understanding is that the operations team drives 6 of them and the Sales Manager gets one. Sales will have to drive their own cars and wait two weeks after the fifth (Franchisee day) of each month to collect the vehicle allowance which is only 20 cents per mile.

Assistant Ops are $2500.00 per month plus 2 percent bonus per completed walk. Example: You complete a walk with a franchise owner through a new account that just started and say the account is $1000.00 per month x 2% = $20.00. Ops can sell and the percentage is 30% which is good. Their is a bonus structure for the ops team which is based on their designated territories say for example, downtown, Coastal area, North county etc... and it is called a cancellation bonus. The cancellation bonus can reach up $350.00 extra per month down to zero depending on the amount $ of cancellations in your area.
