It's always hard to know what to expect when going in for that interview -- and preparation can make all the difference. What is the interview process like at John Deere?

Any advice on striking the right note?

Hi Markin,

I was just wondering, what kind of position did u apply for? I have an interview with JD next week. Could you give me some sample question posted on you during the behavioral interview round. Your suggestions would be really helpful to me.

MarkinIN in Holton, Indiana said: Working at Deere is good, for a large corporation. They treat you reasonably well, the pay is fair, and most everyone focuses on what is right and not office politics. Just don't expect the same atmosphere as a west-coast tech startup or anything.

I'm in Waterloo, so I don't know much about Davenport or Bettendorf.

In regards to the previous post, the interview questions are chosen at random. Basically you'll be presented with a situation or obstical and asked to relate it to a situation or experience, describe what you did, what happened, and what you learned from it.

Hi Markin, I have an interview with John Deere in Waterloo, my schedule is the same that you mentioned, with 5 interviews over 5 rounds. I did some research on the people who are going to interview me; and everyone has some or the other technical position at John Deere. I have an interview at the engine aftertreatment department, more in to control systems side, and the responsibilites require coding and debugging the control systems using Matlab/Simulink. Do you think it will be more technical or behavioral based interview? Also, it would be great we could have a chat over the phone or IM? Let me know about it.
Thanking you.
