Can anyone tell me how the drug screen is administered and where in houston you go to take it? I've been working the last few years as a salesman and haven't had to take a drug screen in some time. I've indulged into some fine herbs and may have to improvise to past the screen. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? And will there be random drug test once I am on the job? |

Not at all, I'm sorry. All that I can suggest is to drink alot of water and crandberry juice. Improvise as you mentioned. Then, if this (IRAQ) is something serious that you would like persue, focus on staying clean. |

Yeah, I?ve stayed away from green pastures and tempting constitutes. It's up in the air as to if I?ll be pursuing the Iraq thing. Just wanted to check to see what the deal was so that I can either plan to conceal things or wait until its all clear, which will be in about a month. 420 for over 8 years. |

My husband just got done with processing and was told that they can detect drugs back as far as 90 days (sometimes more). The group was told if they had any inclination that they might fail, to come up with an excuse for why they had to leave (family emergency, etc.) and come back later, because if their screen showed drugs they would be sent home and would have to go through 6 months of ????, something, and then wait another 6 mos. before they could apply again. He said that several names were called out and people were sent home after screening, and then the next day more names were called for people who had failed the screening. |

Thanks for your comments. Do you know if the test is adminstered by someone standing in the bathroom with you? And will there be random testing after you are on the job. I no longer indulge but my body will not be clensed for at least a month. I don't want to pass the intial test and then be sent home after a random. I may be headed out there before the month is over. |

I have no idea how the test was administered but yes, there are random drug tests. I actually went over to the center one day with my husband (for one of his final meetings) and the instruction mentioned there would be random tests. Not sure how often or starting when, though. |

Hello, First posts, needed to reply. They do not check urine in Houston, blood work done. 8 yrs 420?!! It's going to be in your system up to 6 weeks. 3 yrs in Iraq NO, I REPEAT NO RANDOM DRUG TESTS. Wait, oh yeah, 2 people after there was a big brohaha. But so what, after working 12 hours in those conditions, the last thing you need is to be using herbal medication. If you are injured, expect a drug test. In any event, you need to be coherent 24/7, it is a WAR ZONE. I was at Loyalty right next to Sadr City and there were 1100 rounds confirmed inside the base in 2007. This base is ONLY 68 ACRES BIG!! Victory is a cakewalk, safe as Houston. The things you have to look out for there are the venemous KBR people. It is the headquarters and the people are doing ANYTHING to get ahead there. Also filled with @sshole project managers who threaten to fire people for the most mundane things like not wearing your KBR hat. It is a daily occurance to get threatened with termination. I love my country, and I felt satisfied I was doing something important, but I F@CKING HATE KBR. Been home on medical leave now for 5 MONTHS and am still waiting on the multiple surgeries that I need because of my injuries from a mortar attack. No pay, no acknowledgement for 3 YEARS OF SERVICE. I was "let go" after a manditory time. No phone call, e-mail, or letter. Just a letter from the insurance saying my coverage had been cancelled. I have a good lawyer and it is working its way through the Dept. of Labour. I am covered by the DBA (as are ALL of the people working over there in a civilian capacity.) Look it up, it pays to know your rights, especially with a cold, heartless company like KBR. K-ill em B-ag em R-eplace em. Can you tell I am a little pissed? Sincerely, Mark. Yes, I would do it again. |

Jack, Change your profile to not include your last name, ESPECIALLY with the info you are talking about. A quick Google can turn this up to any employer doing a background check. Just a little paranoia (ha,ha). Good Luck. Mark. |
