Barbara in Spring, Texas 13 months ago	Has anyone gotten a call asking if ready immediately when called. For I got a call on Saturday asking me this and I said I am packed and ready to leave. I closed OPM on March 28th got this call from a KBR person on April 30th, she said great be expecting one very soon. I first got my job offer on Jan 8th 2011. - Was this comment helpful? W1B in Nebraska 13 months ago	Hate to burst peoples "date bubbles" But after being over here for a while it seems like your time after submitting your sf85 and ajudication does not mean squat. What I noticed is they always have people leaving for another job or any of a number of reasons and because they never know exactly when people will throw in the towel and go home they always need to have people in the loop preparing to come over. I know there were plans for building or adding stuff to a few camps but some plans have been scrapped for reasons that no one will talk about here. So that will cut down on the over all need for people. A couple quick tips for anyone who does make it to Houston and eventualy Iraq. BRING A COPY OF YOUR SF85 ON A THUMB DRIVE. Trust me Odds are you Will need it especialy if you are in the trades. Next big tip Plan for the Worst and Hope for the best. Good luck all - Was this comment helpful? Temosworld in Atlanta, Georgia 13 months ago	My timeline Dec 14th re-applied to KBR dec 15th I got call from recuiter to send in copy of passport Dec 16th recieved background check link in my email dec 21st recieved the ofter letter and all forms to scan I returned within 3days jan 6th recieved fingerprint card it had been sent to wrong address so this had postpone me gettin it orginaly sent on dec 17 jan 10th returned fingerprint card Feb 14th recieved link from Psip feb 16th completed and returned Feb 28th Link was returned for me to do corrections March 1st sent back corrected March 10th Email saying nothing else was needed I have been sent to OPM March 17th All references recieved forms and returned the next day. In my opinion, most of us will be laid off by October and the rest by December. Even if KBR gets the DOS work, there will be very few positions available. I quit a new job in order to start processing, didn't realize it would take 3 months to get in Theater. If you're already unemployed, it probably wouldn't hurt.
