Got a question for those that are doing taxes. I read somewhere that those making foreign income cannot file electronically anymore? We have to mail them in and wait forever to get a refund. Any truth in that ??? |

Yeah i dropped off all the paperwork yesterday but when i got home i read that on a forum somewhere , he didnt say that, i will email him. Those dates were a nightmare, i forgot to write down exact dates when hubby landed in country so we had to check his passport which only has Dubai stamps. You loose days then cos if he has a stamp for say 2 Jan, he actually left the 1 Jan from states, complicated. No worries though we are well under his days. Remember to keep track on a calendar what time the plane lands and what day in the States. |

I think anyone interested in working in the war zone should watch it. I am sure that there are lots of things that happened while they were filming that they were not allowed to show. It is amazing how large that camp has grown from it small beginning. What about that crop the farmer was growing from irrigation from the sewerage!!! Man, I don't think I want any of his produce!!! |

Is it controlled meds that you are taking? If it is make sure you have your doctor's note and if it is over the counter make sure you tell them before hand. Regardless before you give your sample make sure you tell them and bring the orginal bottles and script if it is from the doctor. |

Its prescribe I had like cold. So I just have to bring the bottle. It won't disqualify me? |

You live on Camp Stryker bus to work bus to chow at noon then bus home. they get 30 min off the clock lunch. You get 9 paid holidays a year i suggest you take each one and you earn 1 sick day a month. I used 2 in 13 months. Most people use one every so often just tell he medic u have diahreah and they give u a slip for the day. Hey Im going for Mail Clerk Position by the end of the month is should be shipping out. My concern also was about the lunch breaks. 12hr shifts seem long but do the people actually work the full 12hrs. Or do we get breaks every so often. I have no idea how the life is over there or what, im really curious and just to think that its gonna be really really dangerous and like slave work make me not wanna go. Give me your toughts and a little of your expertise on the subject. Thanks. I have a couple of other questions also. |

Just from what I have heard it's about to get worse as far as the war goes. They are about to have elections to, will get really bad from what I'm hearing. Just my two cents worth. As far as work, you will be working 12 hr days, 7 days a week. Good luck to you and be careful IF you decide to ship out. |

Iraq– has parliamentary elections in March 2010. And there is concerns of tensions because banns and restriction implemented to keep certain fractions out of the running in 2005 ( last Iraq parliamentary election) have been lifted. Afghanistan will have its parliamentary elections in June, 2010–unless they are put off–which is media rumored to be under consideration. |

I meant it as a joke because Shawn and myself are good friends and are in these together. And about the thing about me not being tough well that wasn't very nice and you don't know me. We all on here trying to find answers and finding out how it really is out there. But ok, thanks for the comment and God bless you. |

Hello all..Looking for work. Applied for Mail Clerk positions but by the previous comments, it seems those jobs are appropriate for males due to the heavy lifting. Is my assessment correct? Do they hire females for those positions? |

When you go for the fisical one of the tests i think you have to run a lap holding a 70lb. weight and try to doit asap. I hope I can pas this myself. Lol. But if you apply good luck. God Bless |

I heard today from a KBR recruiter that all the mail services positions were on hold until further notice. The recruiter didn't go into detail as to why, they just stated those positions are on hold. |
