kahliflower in Rosedale, Maryland said: Ms. Henley do you have any valuable information regarding the hiring process with kbr. I'm just asking I'm not rushing to get hired just interested in the opportunity. Absolutely!
Your profile is very important, as it should create an accurate snapshot of your recent, relevant skills and experience. KBR will be looking at your last 5-7 years, to determine how well you match up with specific job openings. Be focused, and provide details of the skills used, accomplishments, any licenses or certifications, anything that adds value to you as a potential candidate. DO NOT try to "dilute" your resume, to make it seem that you can do anything. This will more likely hurt than help you. Focus on one or two key areas where you have the most experience, and apply only for those position types. For example an Accountant applying for Food Service work may not be taken seriously.

Hi, I'm ex kbr employee and I stopped working for kbr 20 days ago. I quit my job voluntarily due to some problems in camp I was transfered to. My question is: is there any way for me to return to my job without going through processing in houston. Thanks. |

We are going to do Skype next month once I get him a laptop with webcam. the web cam and skpye is great!!! It feels like you are right in the room with him. most laptops come with webcam already in them, just have to sign up for skype. Its a little fuzzy at times, but can't talk about it enough. I do cry when we sign off, but can't wait tell he calls again. you will love it. |

Do any of you know if the laborer workers work on the base or off the base? My brother was hired for that position and I'm just curious. |

Laborers definitely work on base. The only workers who go "outside the wire" to work are truck drivers and recovery mechanics, and they are escorted by military. |

Fred, It could be because the job is no longer available. Even though you just applied, things happen -- the position may have been filled, no longer needed, or on hold. You won't know if a recruiter has seen your resume or is even interested until you receive a call. Keep applying and maybe something will happen. Good luck |

Morning everyone, Drats my key board is a bit stiff this morning–my guess someone spilled some tea on it. Hi Fan7, how are things your way? I am thinking they all got the call and are already in Houston–perhaps even overseas. I know they were joking about flight to Houston. We haven’t heard from Paint in a while either–though I think she emailed once or twice from Houston while in processing so hope all is well with her too. |

Sandra thanks for the tip about the bath robe. That was my thinking too, what with the weight limits glad to know I do not have to find room for. We went and picked up hygiene and OTC items last night after we finished with his vision exam. I also got a slim three ring binder and some clear skins so I can organize all his paperwork and copies of certifications and make em quick and easy for him to locate while in Houston. |

Koko Wilson in Florida 40 months ago |
Hi Moni, Of all things, we are still waiting on a copy of hubby’s apprenticeship training/ certification from the national labor department. They have to fax it to the JATC hubby attended in the 80s–then they will in turn fax it to the IBEW and they are going to scan and email it to us so we can get it off to recruiter. It’s a process, –they told us 7 to 10 days and we got the ball rolling last week--we are hoping to have completed by next week, so hubby can leave out of here next Sunday. If not next Sunday–22nd, then recruiter said they would arrange to get him out the following Sunday–1st, or the 8th. |

Yes, well we had a copy of it. Framed and everything hanging in his workshop up north but unfortunately we had a bit of a mishap that involved some water damage–and I wasn’t thinking and threw it out. Never occurred to me he would need it anymore. Kinda like your HS diploma, after a while it become insignificant–as in been there and done that. If you need a copy of the POA I have the one that JDCS sent to me. I didn't need it because we had a POA drafted by our lawyer up north so I could close up business while hubby was setting up household down south--and he--lawyer said I could use it this way if I need to. |

So just print it off and fill it in–but wait to sign it-- and swing in at your local bank. I also sent you a couple of 120 days RR count down maps. |

Tell mark I will see him there, I`ll be the guy with the shaved head and sweating because i am so used to the cold. Its snowing here and i read its gonna be 70`s all next week in houston.
