Ksniper777 in San Antonio, Texas said: Alcoa, what is the deal? Did the cowboy kick over your freon or something. I don't think he was mentioning you until you chimed in to flex your muscle or something. That is why you should not comment and stick to the subject just because one of the poster was exposed and now who will be next. This forum does not belong to any group of people who can just say as they want and expect people to take it lying down. For alot of folks who pipe him who has never been in Iraq knows more than those who are here. As i said before your husbands do not always tell you everything that goes on in Iraq so please do not act like you have been her and done that. No i am not holy than though so dont' jump on that soap box either. As reading back in this forum alot of you where close to losing it all if it had not been for this overseas work. Be thankful that your husbands were able to work and ensure the house stays afloat. Some of you i don't believe are thankful for anything. If you were you would not speak down to folks like you all do. It is very easy for the shoes to be on the other feet. As always i don't respond to BS so you can fill up forum with i hate Ksniper777 he is an arse and despise him for tellign the truth. Last thing if the shoe fits(meaning that you all know who this directed at) and not all of us wear the same size shoes. do you want me to reply to this ? i will |

anyone working the dfac's at bagram? heard a rumor that superior is taking over real soon and will not be keeping any of the expats on staff. word out of kandahar is that they are there and the food is terrible. hope this is not true, well kbr is eventually leaving but hope the ones there will just transition and still serve/prepare the food. may not be the best but at least it is edible. |

Ksniper 777, I really agree. That our husband do not tell us all. I believe this is so very true. For the most part, they do this so we do not worry. I wanted to mention there is another site out there other than Danger Zones, which hubby has an account with–but dang I am struggling to remember the password. It will come to me. But there is a another site called international rat pack. They have some really good info there as well–and they also get leads/ or calls for work for overseas work. ( They have two different categories, rumors of work and confirmed work.) But it is spendy, about 30.00 a mth. I signed my hubby up for it a few mths ago. Rat pack is more forum based. And some one already mentioned as much, but logcaptalk.com is free and also forum based–and has lot of good info on it as well. It was set up by a poster here–who is a current overseas contractor. I think the only thing rat pack has over the other two is their confirmed work–but sometime this category dries up–like this summer when things seem to slow down for everyone. So I am not certain I would advocate it–as it does seem expensive. But they do give you a taste of some of the info over there for free. Sandy, I am looking for any current info on Bagram. I have checked out the global security site and flickr. I am looking for more current conditions ( living). How long was your hubby there? What was his opinion of? When does it really start to get cold that way? As in when will they need winter gear? Thanks in advance for any help. New baby will be home late this afternoon!!! |

That's great Barbara outstanding news, but I do have one honest sincere question for you perhaps you can provide insight on for all of us on this job board. Will these future available open slots be for six months, perhaps 8 months, or even a full year? Considering we will be pulling out of Iraq end of 2010. Thank you for your time, have a great day. |
