I also am not 100% sure about the shirts either but I believe you are allowed to wear t-shirts or whatever.
wish T were here that's what he used to do and he would know for certain.

if you are management or work in a office you must wear a collared shirt and must be tucked in at all times. You all must wear your hat and lanyard not backwards sideways and it cannot have anyother symbols on the front of it unless it says KBR. If you work in the field then it is not required to wear a collard shirt. When i changed over from another contract they do require you to cover your dependents unless you already have insurance on them and you must show proof but 3 years ago i had to. I would contact your recruiter via email and keep the email as proof of the answer. I hope those answers were helpful and once you get to your site make sure read the policy that cover the dress code because they are really enforcing that now. Good luck to you.

Mainly that they are 2 months behind on payroll. I also heard they give no assistance to someone who was arrested, but the Joe said there was a good reason for the arrest. Yhay and we can not seem to get much information about this company.

mattjm1017@yahoo.com

apply to aecom.com hear they are looking for a few expats with at least 15 years experience, pay is about 100k or so but contract is expiring in end of september but they said they have a verbal extension for 6 months but during that time frame they will know who will receive the contract, either way the job has to be done by someone. from what i am hearing also is that under the new logcap wages are being drastically cut, almost to the point where the money is the same you would make stateside. so sign a contract if get offer asap with the high dollar on it because sounds like what was here today will be gone tomorrow

Morning everyone,

Carrigon, the baby is adorable and doing fine. She is such a little bit. Been busy this week as I have family here from up north come to meet her. Thanks for asking.

Hubby is also settling in in Afghanistan.

As another said, tradesman ( those working in the field) can wear t-shirts–and go for the lighter colored whether collared or not, much cooler and t-shirts can not have anything offensive printed on them. ( this info was in the hiring packet–at least it was last Spring) I recommend the gray colored ones–do not show the dirt/ dust as bad and the lighter color is cooler. I sent about 10 of with hubby–he could wear the same pants over in a pinch if he needed to, but was nice to have a clean shirt everyday. Also not asked, but khaki/ tan cargo pants are cooler than jeans in the heat in Iraq.

Hope everyone has a great day.

In answer to insurance: Here is what is may be confusing everyone–this is from KBR recruiter, Vannessa Henley in response to a question about( 6 mths ago):

in Killeen, Texas said: Someone on here said if you have a family you "have" to put them on insurance unless you can prove they already have insurance. Is this true ? I though only the employee was mandatory.

VH’s reply: Actually as of 1/01/09, it is no longer a requirement to cover dependents. Employee coverage is mandatory, and dependent coverage is now optional.

It may have changed again so as others said, you may want to confirm this with your recruiter.

Now, straight from the KBR HIRE PACKET, not from he said, she said.

"You have 2 choices. 1) as a single (just you) for $100 +, 2) Family for $500, all included.

Clothes
All KBR employees must follow the guidelines below when they are on duty in KBR offices or any KBR
operations locations that ARE LOCATED on a military base:
All garments must be maintained in good condition and in good repair.
All shirts, except those worn as a jacket or over shirt, must be tucked in at all times. Nonsupervisory
employees or those working in trades, warehouses, or outdoors (as described below) are not required
to tuck in their shirts. All employees who work in an indoor office environment, regardless of job title
or trade, must wear their shirts tucked in. Where a shirt is worn as a jacket or over shirt, the blouse or
shirt worn under the jacket or over shirt must be tucked in.
All employees must wear collared shirts. Non-supervisory employees or those working in trades,
warehouses, or outdoors (as described below) are not required to wear collared shirts. All employees
who work in an indoor office environment, regardless of job title or trade, must wear collared shirts.
Skirts or dresses may be worn but must be no shorter than ankle length and must be of a nature that
the employee can move quickly to get to the bunkers or evacuate the area as required.

This only applies inside military base, outside is different, please refer to your Hire Packet for the proper clothing.
